The Esterea was a lovely boutique hotel at a good location in Amsterdam. The staff was friendly & helpful, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was big & clean, but the room itself was rather small. It had a fridge but closet was on the small side. The hotel guests were mostly couples in their 30s, but some older.
The buffet breakfast was spectacular with lots of choices including the usual eggs & sausage, many types of bread, cheese & cold cuts, fruit & yogurt, an espresso machine & bite-sized pastries like cup cakes & cream puff. Who could ask for more? Only problem was that although the weather was good, Amsterdam was crowded with 20-something tourists, bicycles & some very grumpy cabbies at the train station, so it wasn't very restful. We only had 2 days for sightseeing. Could have used much more time.More
