“KLM Delay- Free Night”
Reviewed 30 August 2011

This hotel is certainly out of the way, and the shuttle runs every half hour to/from airport. It's about a 15 min ride from the airport. Since KLM put us up here, I'm not sure what the rates are. But it was a very 70s style building that looked to have been rennovated.
The common area was stylish and the bedrooms seemed to have been redone as well. Sort of a 70s retro style design.
Dinner and breakfast were both buffets and no menus were available. Not sure if that is how it is always done. I absolutely loved the food though, and got plenty to eat. If you do buy drinks in the bar it was expensive 3 euro for a small coke bottle.
The room a/c didn't seem to be working that well, we opened the window and were comfortable even in Aug. There is also a smallish in-room mini-bar. Tolietries were a conditioning shampoo, shower gel, and bar soap. There was a pants press and a TV with some international channels.
Bed was pretty comfortable, not the best, but not awful. We really enjoyed our stay, and loved watching the bunnies eating out the back window.
very pretty area, but not near anything if you are looking to sight see. If you had a car I imagine it would be good. And if just staying to get to the airport, just fine.

Me and my husband enjoyed a three night stay at this hotel. We were part of a coach trip with others. We arrived about ten thirty in the evening so we were very tired, but the reception staff had us checked in very quickly and we were in our room within minutes. The bed was very comfortable and the room fine for what we needed. It was clean and although a little small we had no complaints. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices from bacon eggs beans to ham cheese to yogurts and cereals and fruits. Coffee was on the table although on our last morning there was non due to the machine being broken I dont know why water could not be boiled but that was the reason for non that morning.

Not really sure this can be described as a four star property - it's a basic novotel-style hotel, dating from the late 70s/80s and has had some refurbishment, but perhaps needs a bit more, particularly the beds. It feels more 2 to 3 star than 4 star. The lobby areas seem nicer than the rooms. Can't say I had a particularly comfortable night's sleep - but rates are cheap and I'm sure it's an adequate alternative to the various other airport stopover places. Staff were courteous and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and again, fine, but nothing exceptional. There is a shuttle bus every half hour between the airport and the hotel but it only seats around 8 passengers - so in the morning when there's a rush for early flights it's pot luck whether you get on or not - I ended up paying 25 euros for a taxi for the 10 minute journey to the terminal. I suspect there may be better choices.

I stayed here for 2 days when working a night shift. Its a nice quiet location even though it's next to a busy road. I didn't get chance to make use of the facilities but they were clean and tidy. There is a free shuttle to the airport which I made use of. The only annoyance was that the shuttle didn't run at the published times and there was a 2 hour gap whilst the driver had his break. I ended up having to pay €25 for the short taxi ride to the airport, although don't let this put you off as this won't be an issue to most people. (I had to do the journey several times for work)

We were very disappointed because in spite of the fact that we have already paid the reservation before by card,at the reception they retained from the card a money guarantee that it isn't unlocked till now ( a week after).

Had an early flight out of Amsterdam and wanted to stay close to the airport. The hotel is 5 min from the airport so the location is perfect and the price seemed ok. Check in area, bar and restaurant are all quite new and nice with a pretty terrace overlooking a pond. There is a distinct shortage of lifts, which seem to have been build in as an afterthought. The rooms are smallish, but clean and well appointed. Shower is pretty low and cramped.
Arrived around 11pm and was looking for some food, but the choice was pretty terrible. Frozen Pizza of the worst kind. Breakfast was also pretty grim with low quality buffet. Certainly well below the standard of the rest of the hotel. All staff interactions were quite friendly and professional.
All in all I was looking for a decent sleep before a flight and the hotel delivered that. If the food can be improved it would even be an ok hotel as a base for Amsterdam.
