This is a beautiful hotel, with beautiful rooms. Everything in the hotel was spotless, and the staff was very kind and knowledgeable. There are several excellent restaurants in the hotel as well, though their price points are quite high. If you have the money, this place is definitely worth it. As an aside, it is a fairly long walk to the city center (public transportation recommended), though the museums are all pretty close by.

A really good hotel centrally based in Amsterdam. We had an upper floor room with just sensational views. The staff are delightful and there are various options to eat. The Japanese is very good and seemed popular with Japanese nationals. A short walk to the museums and a 15 minute drive from the Airport. A great base from which to explore. Amazing Spa for really being pampered

Great service all round ; check in , concierge , restaurants etc. Luxurious room and nice communal areas . Style is slightly Japanese / retro 70's . Japanese restaurant was good , but maybe not quite good enough considering the price tag . Also dsiappointing that breakfast was an add on at dear price & if I'm not wrong the health club costs even for guests & better wifi comes also extra . Good system with taxis to airport , quick & can be paid along with hotel bill.

We spent two nights at Okura as part of insight vacations tour. It was so nice the rooms are large the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was all you could eat buffet. The staff were very friendly and helpful it is a very new hotel a little way from downtown.

The Okura in Amsterdam is a great hotel. Service is very nice, the rooms as great. On our first stay we got an upgrade to an executive suite and became a little spoiled. Concierge can help you will tickets, transportation, including public. Breakfast could be better for what they charge, extra on the stay. The hotel has many restaurants, one with a Michelin star.
Parking is available if you need. Tram station is very close and you can use it to go to the museum quarter or to downtown. I liked it better than staying downtown. Easy and fast access to and from the airport is a plus too. The high rooms have quite a view.

Room Tip: The higher, the nicer the view, since high buildings are rare in special in this area of Amsterdam.

Was there just for one night on a quick business trip, and therefore don´t have many elements to rate the hotel, but some important things I would highlight and which give me the idea that the place is really good:

Clean and nice room
Friendly staff
Well located (took me 15 mins by taxi to the airport)
Good food
Covers "the basics" of a business hotel, which for me are good internet connection, coffee machine in room, comfortable working space with a nice and decent chair.

If you are traveling to Amsterdam on business, this is your place - an elegant place to return to after work, with a superb restaurant for entertaining clients. If you are on vacation, know that Amsterdam is a small and easily-navigated city. Simply buy a transport card at the tourist office outside Centraal Station, and board the tram. The Okura is a modern and tastefully-furnished highrise near the museums, the Jordaan, the RCI, and the historic Beethovenstraat. I was there part-business, part-vacation, and found the Okura to be an easy walk or tram ride everywhere I needed to go. The hotel upgraded me to a spacious, high-floor corner room with sweeping city views, containing an equally-spacious bathroom containing a separate shower and a tub. I realize at the core, a hotel offers place to sleep, but the Okura was heaven to come home to at the end of a long day. Each of the staff members I met, from Reception to Front Desk, Concierge, Maintenance, and Housekeeping - was as 5-star as my room. I thank them all for a wonderful stay and look forward to returning.
