Great hotel in the center of everything! Right near the Dam Square with shopping, attractions, red light district, restaurants....and....Christmas Market right around the corner. Great brassiere but breakfast is a bit pricey....€24...rooms are very nice, good size . Staff very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Cab from the airport €52....best to find another means

We stayed here for 3 nights and would recommend to anyone, the staff were second to none and the breakfast was excellent. This hotel has recently been refurbished to a high standard. The location is ideal just across from central station.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to have good sound proofing, our friends we at the front over looking the road whilst...

This hotel is perfectly situated right across from Centraal Station and once inside the decor is very smart indeed.
Unfortunately for my wife and I this is as good as it got as we were put into a room in the very bowels of the hotel. So far in that we couldn't even receive the Wi-Fi signal.
The window was bolted shut so God help us in an emergency such as a fire.
The view from said window was a concrete wall which was less than 3ft away so it felt very claustrophobic. The ledge of the window was full of bird feathers and droppings so the curtains stayed closed all weekend which didn't help with the ambiance at all.
This is all after we had to negotiate 3 of the steepest flights of stairs known to mankind to even get to this dungeon... er sorry I mean room.
Our flight from Dublin to Amsterdam was delayed by a couple of hours and the slog with our suitcases to the room ensured we couldn't have been bothered to haul everything back to reception to demand another room.
But hey, the TV was nice and the bed was actually very comfortable so it wasn't all bad.
We paid a big enough rate to stay in this hotel so we were disappointed all round.
Won't be staying again and won't be recommending either.
Disappointed 3/10

I recently stayed in this hotel for one night with my 10 year old daughter when we visited the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. I wanted a hotel near the station so we didn't have to walk too far with luggage. This was the cheapest I found, even cheaper than the more basic hotels like Ibis. The hotel is literally straight across from Centraal Station and it has a huge sign so we had no problems finding it. The room was clean and nicely furnished with a reasonable sized shower room (I liked the fact you could put on nightime lighting to help you find your way to the loo in the dark). Our room looked over one of the main shopping streets but the noise was minimal and we had no trouble sleeping. We went for the bed and breakfast option and there was a great choice from eggs, bacon, sausages to fruit, yoghurt, cereals, juices, tea, coffee and a selection of breads and pastries. My daughter especially enjoyed the freshly made pancakes. The reception staff and concierge were extremely helpful throughout our stay and were able to provide good directions as well as recommendations for things to do. There was no problem leaving our bags after check out and we just picked them up on our way back to the station. You can buy tickets to some attractions in the hotel to save you waiting in queues - the price is the same as you would pay on the door . With the exception of the sauna, the leisure facilities were not huge and the pool was a bit cold but for the price we paid, I wasn't complaining.

Absolutely perfect location, directly opposite the Grand Centraal Station. We had a view of the station and even though its on a main street, it was very quiet. Right in the centre of all the tourist attractions. Hotel was very comfortable, nice sized rooms and extremely friendly staff. Cannot find any faults and would certainly return again.

Room Tip: Canal view rooms overlook the busy street and station but are extremely quiet.

You can't beat the location! Just across from main train station and between two red light districts. Hotel bar and breakfast facilities are great and reasonably priced. Room is dated and poorly laid out. Wi fi worked ok, but slow. Toilet tough to sit on since squeezed between bath and sink. I would rank it higher, except 300 usd per night is too high despite location. Stay elsewhere if you can find a place....

I am only going to review the room we were in. We only stayed 1 night at this hotel. We were given room 115 on the 1st floor. We were confused as we got to the end and found no room 115. Only to be told that it is somewhat hidden below of what looks like a fire exit. The stairs were steeps and no railings -- with heavy luggages in tow, not very pleasant and somewhat dangerous. The stairs were the only way to get through the room.

The bathroom is old and need some refurbishing. Both the bath tub and sink drains were clogged and grimy. There were hairs left on the bath tub. When you try to shower the water doesn't drain then all the grimy stuff from the drain goes up. Fairly disgusted to say the least.
