Nice hotel everyone friendly and the room was clean. 5 minute walk to Dam square and if you are that way inclined the red light district. Great little "coffee shop" around the corner called Bagheera, don't be put off by the interior..

Stayed: March 2013, travelled as a couple

The last time I stayed here was about ten years ago and I would have given this place five in rating.

This time I am disappointed. Room 152 smelled bad and the front desk did'nt seem to be suprised. I informed them in the morning and front desk was to inform house keeping about this. When i arrived late afternoon, I asked front desk again if any action was taken. Their answer was that I needed to check the room and inform the front desk if the smell was still there!
The smell was still there..... And this should'nt be my job.

They moved us one floor up which is much better. My problem now is that the chair is full of stains and the bathroom does not have enough light. I informed front desk again and they said house keeping will have a look at this.... Nothing has happened...

The pictures this hotel shows on their site is no where near the same as what I am looking at right now. My expectations were much higher for this hotel. Service is average (does not seem Like I am taken seriously).

Location is good so I'll them average.

This hotel was much better in the good old SAS Radisson days.

My recommendation is if your room is on the other side of the road, find another place to stay with better value for money.

Stayed at the Radisson for three nights B & B from 29th March.
The hotel split into two buildings with a road between linked by an accss tunnel.
Stayed in the main building on the 6th floor. Unfortunatly this was the attic. Room 630.
Although recently refubished with a great view over the roofs of Amsterdam & exstreamly quite, the room was very small with slopping wall & nowhere to put your clothes except for two very small shelves so had to keep our stuff in the case.
It was so cold in the evening, we stayed in the hotel.
We found room service for an evening meal cheaper than the restaurant & only took 15min.
Very friendly staff, great breakfast, nice hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on 6th floor o`k but too small

Stayed 3 nights at Radisson Blu Hotel. Hotel is located within short walking distance from both shopping and good restaurants in Amsterdam center.

Room was typical Rad. BLU standard, which is overall good. The building is looking a bit faded on the inside, and is probably due for a remodel soon.

Breakfast was good, and service from staff was good all over.

Room Tip: Choose room with canal view if possible. There are steps (2-3) from door to sleeping area in many ro...

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The location of this hotel is brilliant. It is very close to the red light district and all the good bars. Also very close to the canals and very posh interiors.

Not being sexist - but the lady employees were very polite and helpful. However, for some reason (due to my age or appearance) I wasn't quite spoken to properly at the hotel by any male employee. We called for room service and I offered my Carlson membership card which gets us discount. I was offered quite a rude response to only asking if the card was valid on this order.

Anyway, that was the only drawback of my trip. You must visit Amsterdam and if you are looking to live at a very convenient location with luxury - this is the place for you.

This hotel is walking distance from most of the downtown city attactions but i was shocked at how beautiful my room was. I paid 10 Euros for an upgrade and got a room with a retractible covered sunroof and lots of space.

Room Tip: Pay the 10 Euros for the upgrade.
