This hotel is not too far from Amsterdam station, approximately 15/20 mins walk. It's in a prime location near a lot of tourist attractions.

This being said, the hotel itself should be referred to as 'hostel'. When we were arrived we were greeted by the most steep and dangerous steps. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is elderly unless they are ridiculously fit and willing to take a chance with the dangerous steeps. Which might I add I found very daunting when carrying my luggage down the stairs. We were not offered assistance.

The room itself was small, thankfully myself and my friends did not spend a lot of time in our room. The website also offers wifi, this is not true. We were advised by a member of staff that there was a defect in a room. Room 203. We stood outside the room and still were unable to connect.

The breakfast is not what I would call breakfast, slices of cold ham/cheese and cold boiled eggs. There is a store Albert Heign not to far down the street were you'll get a nice breakfast for on the go.

If you're looking for a hostel, this is the place for you, if you want comfort, I would not recommend a this 'hotel'

Oh dear . A Christmas present from my husband so booked at travel agents as a surprise . The location is superb . However that is the only good point . The stairs are very high and steep . I would not have been able to carry my case on my own . The reception was very frosty as if we had turned up in their house and were not expecting us . Room very small. Wet room OK. Bed next to wall . Looked clean but we were bitten overnight ! Breakfast awful . No one spoke to you . Toast . 2 cereals . Coffee. We ate out after first day for breakfast and did not go back to hotel in day . Chap on desk on first night did speak to us and girl on check out managed to . No other rooms in hotel . No where to sit . No bar etc . I still.love Amsterdam but would not recommend this hotel .😐

We arrived in the middle of the day, staying for one night. One of our party had knee issues so the massive flight of stairs to even get into the reception was instantly a problem.

The staff was efficient and we had our room fast. The room itself was clean and tidy, not much in the way of room, but we were not staying in the room for long. The lack of any more pillows and a very soft bed lead to some sleep issues for us.

The shower was a wet room and tended to flood if you left it on for too long and the breakfast was very sparse. However, the coffee was excellent, not the thin brew you get some places.

Overall, it was a good budget hotel, not far from Dam Square.

Hotel quite central which is quite good, can walk to many different areas of Amsterdam. Nice views from the rooms often canal views. That's where the great things end, the beds are alright and I got a decent night sleep in them but the walls are thin so you can here everything, quite cramped rooms and not much storage. The bathrooms are tiny and there is nothing separating the shower to the room so the water gets everywhere. The major downside is the stairs, no lifts and if your on the top floor like we we're then you've got a steep and thin stairwell to climb, no fun with a suitcase.

I took my girlfriend to Amsterdam for her birthday and we stayed at the hotel Di-Ann. we were greeted very warmly and even though we arrived 3 hours early they took our bags and stored them in the safe room so we could go and enjoy the sunshine.
When you arrive at the hotel (which actually starts on the 1st floor) the main door is between two shops. you are greeted by a very very steep staircase leading upto reception ( maybe not ideal for the eldery or less mobile) there isn't a lift but there is a buzzer at the bottom where they will send down a member of staff to collect your bags.
The room we stayed in was satisfactory. it was clean and smelt fresh. (all you do is sleep there, you don't go to Amsterdam to stay in your hotel all day) a short 15/20min walk into the main square. Ideal little hotel for what we needed. Would definitely go again.
