The location of this hotel is excellent, right next to the train station & 2 minute walk into town. Rooms are small & basic but clean, all you need on a short beak. Breakfast good, staff friendly enough, plus free wifi. Noise not an issue, cannot hear the trains.

Room Tip: For a view, go for a room on the front of the hotel, rather than overlooking the train station.

Right next door from amsterdam central station, about 50 mtrs. In the front of tram station. Great location, but price are so incredibly high. Also the room are very small. We are family of 3. Mother - father and teen. We book it since 2 months before. But the room I think just for single plus 2 extra bed. Almost cannot open the bathroom door. The bathroom size of 2x2 m? Ugh.. Maybe fine if you came alone. But not recommend for family. Definitely will not comeback.

Dear Luken M,

Thank you for your recent review on Tripadvisor.

I'm sorry to hear that our hotel doesn't meet your expectations.

Our rooms are adequate, but can be described as 'cute'. Our prices are competitive for the city of Amsterdam and especially for our unbeattable location. Prices in Amsterdam are unfortunately generally considered quite high.

From your review I understand you're looking for a larger room than the ones we have on offer. Please check the accorhotels website to find a hotel that suits your needs better. We have several hotel brands in Amsterdam offering larger hotel rooms!

Thank you again for your review. Hopefully one of our other brands can welcome you in the future.

Best regards,

Excellent for a short stay and just a few meters from the station.Canal boat stop is just across the road and also a taxi rank.Good value for money ,the rooms were fresh and clean.Reception staff were efficient and check in and out was quick.Breakfast is available if required. There are plenty of places to eat near the Hotel and it is only a short walk to the main sights. It is very popular and should be booked in advance.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for a long weekend, we first and foremost booked this hotel for it's location, situated right next door to central station not only makes this hotel very easy to find (No having to ask the locals or pulling out a map), but saves on further transport costs or a lengthy walk with your luggage. Upon arriving to the clean and modern foyer/reception area ,we were greeted by a very well presented member of staff, our Dutch is virtually non existent and as most English people our arrogance assumes everybody should speak our language, and luckily all the staff we conversed with were fluent.
After the standard exchange of details we were presented with our room cards, our room was situated on the 9th floor, the caveat of that is you have to take 2 lifts to get to that particular floor and not very acrophobic friendly, courteously we where made aware of this before we where about to make an about turn to the lifts, so i politely enquired if they could offer us a room on a lower floor, to which the receptionist happily obliged and moved us to the first floor, the only down side of that was you don't get the views as you would higher up, but it cuts your commute from reception to your room immediately by a third.
Room card in, room card out, green light appears and we are in. first impressions of the room where that it was small and basic, but appeared to have everything you need. The only issue we had with the room was the missing TV remote, but from ringing reception to a gentleman appearing at my door with a replacement was no longer than 5 minutes so Kudos for haste.
That evening we made our first attempt at slumber and I have to say, I find it very difficult to get to sleep normally and i assumed being so close to a train station I may find it harder than usual, but i was pleasantly surprised, not a sound. The absolute best thing about this room is without doubt the bed, it was unequivocally one of the comfiest beds I have slept in, I almost stood up in the morning and gave it a round of a applause but I was so comfy I just fell back to sleep.
We never stayed for breakfast so unfortunately can't give you a review on that one, but if my nose had the ability to type he would say it was delicious. We did come back to the bar area one evening which is again modern and comfortable albeit void of many other humans, but the gentleman behind the bar was very attentive and brought us our drinks and bar snacks to the table politely and efficiently.
So if you are reading this review and you are looking for a budget, fantastically located, clean, comfortable, friendly base to stay in Amsterdam you certainly can't find much better than this, so go on get it booked you won't regret it.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up require 2 lifts to get to them, Stay on the first three floors to keep the reception...
