“Great stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 September 2012

Very modern, clean and comfortable rooms, nicely decorated, and has air conditioner, refrigerator and a kettle. We had a minor problem with the shower, but I called the reception and they sent someone to fix the problem right away. After that, everything worked perfectly.
In general, the stuff was super friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, there is really nothing of interest in the walking distance from the hotel, but Amstel metro station is in 5 minutes walk from the hotel. From Amstel station it takes 10-15 min to get to the Central Station by metro, which runs every 5 minutes or so. There is also a tram that goes from Amstel station to the museum district (it runs every 20 minutes and takes about 20 minutes to get to the museum district). So overall, it is not a bad location, even though it is not in the center.
Circles restaurant on the first floor of the hotel is very good - we had a delicious dinner there. (I'd say it is $$ price range). It gets busy in the evenings, so making reservation in advance would be a good idea.

Hotel Casa is indeed a magnificent hotel. Great courteous people, always willing to go the extra mile to make you stay comfortable. Location is good though you have to take a tram to get to Central Station. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a good, clean, pleasant atmosphere.

Thanks for making our stay so good. Nothing is too hard for the friendly staff to help with, spacious clean rooms. Amstel station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel from there it is easy to get anywhere you need. The meals are large and well presented but most of all taste wonderful. we used to have a couple of drinks in the upstairs bar and dine from their yummy menu nearly every night. We where ther for a total of 14 days with breaks in between and still enjoyed 'coming home' to the Casa 400

Room Tip: We had three diferently placed rooms during our stay and they were all good

Best 3 stars hotel I stayed in. Our city break to Amsterdam started here and our experience was great with the hotel:
- great room, very comfortable bed, great idea with the long table, excellent bathroom. It is obvious the room was designed with careful comfort and functionality ideas in mind, great job.
- as minus for the room, I would say slow functionality of the TV, but hey in Amsterdam why watch TV
- Wifi excellent throughout the hotel, including room
- bike rental, great plus with very good bikes, but a bit expensive, above market in Amsterdam, which is anyway expensive, but of course you have to ride bikes in Amsterdam, it's super fun
- close to Amstel station, very helpfull. Minus: far from city center, you need to spend some money on bikes or metro/tram
- close to Frankendael park and Ooseterpark (Tropenmuseum), very lovely park
- Restaurant, only dinned once and I could say this is the place to improve. Poor menu, starters were a joke, and also surprisingly some waiters were poor in English.

Overall, great choice for 3stars hotel, I would recommend and come back here for sure

The Hotel is a stone throw from Amstel Station. This means your about 10 min from the city centre so easy to get into town but also far from the city noise. I would advise when you arrive to buy travel card , this can be used on the metro, trams and buses and ranges from 7.50 (24 hrs)- 15 (72 hrs) Euros. The Metro runs till 12 or 1 depending, after that you can catch a taxi from the city centre which will usually cost about 20 Euros. The hotel has a very business professional vibe to it, everything is sleek, clean and well presented. The lobby is large with 2 checks -in desks; the staffs are professional and very helpful if you need any tourist information. The rooms are spacious with LCD TV, safe, toilettes and best of all a fridge! (There is a large supermarket 10 min walk up the street) Everything was very clean and the furnishings were very standard for a large hotel. My only complaints would be that the beds were pretty hard, some people like that but I was not a fan. Also there is construction going on outside the hotel so there can be noise sometimes but not really that bad. There also were no hair dryers in the room which was a bit of an inconvenience. Overall great value for money and good location, would return.

Thanks for everything. We had a great time in your hotel.
We were very pleased with the service and the hotel staff.
The bikes we have utilized well and the price was ok.
The rooms were always clean, and despite the hard mattress we slept well.
At our next visit Amsterdam we will definitely book in your hotel again.

The rooms are very clean, the staff is very nice. On booking the should make it more clear that the smoking is not allowed At the hotel at all. The location of the hotel is wonderful, next to amstel sation that is a big station, very easy to get everywhere. There Is also a great view, at least from the room that we were staying in.
