“In the city”

Perfect hotel for short term staying. Is in the city center, near the central station (10 minutes maximum by walk). The rooms are clean, but not prefectly. Little bit noisy, but what do you want in the center? :) Breakfast and wifi is not in the price.

A place to miss and walk away.
Not nice as its work in progress.wood and building materials left strewn about aswel as work carried out early when you want to relax. Beds were clean but thats all. Shelves and table very dusty along with paint flaking of everywhere in our room.
Wires hanging loose above sink along with broken lamp wich didn't even work.
I would strongly not recommend this place. !!
Amsterdam is a beautiful place to visit but be sure to give tulip inn a miss if you would like a nice stay......... :(

I've stayed here before many years ago when it was the terminus and not a great deal has changed but the hotel is clean and tidy and the staff are helpful enough. The twin bedroom (309) was just the right size for two with all the facilities you'd expect, tv, internet connection, air con etc. With views down onto the street (Warmoesstraat) to the rear. Breakfast buffet had a wide selection and the lobby bar serve you any time of day. The location is great as it's in a very central location and close to the station. Overall i'd recommend this hotel, however we did get a discount as the party I went with go there every year, without this i'd say it's a little pricey but then again so is the whole of Amsterdam. To summarise, great hotel, staff, location, can't fault the place.

Room Tip: Try not to go too high as the church bell will give you an early wake up call if on the top floor.

A simple hotel in the center of amsterdam. From this hotel one can have excess to everywhere easily..train station, coffee shops, dam square, shops, restaurants and takeaway.
Its a popular hotel as from we could see people are checking in and out all the time.
Rooms are a bit small but comfortable, and good value for money.

The only disadvantage was that we can hear bells ringing from our room continously!

On a hot day, the window has to be open at night. Noise can be a problem.
I stayed there in the summer and was not impressed.
Hotel is within walking distance to the train station. Most of the tourist attractions are close by.

If you are attending a meeting at ESTEC in Noordwijk, this is a very advisable place to stay. In several previous visits I tried different hotels in Noordwijk and was systematically disappointed by the combination of abusive seaside resort prices and the limited offer beyond the hotel itself.
This hotel is perfectly located 5 minutes (or less) walking from the Leiden central train station, which also hosts the central station for urban buses. Getting to ESTEC from here is a 20-minute ride of a bus which currently offers free Wifi (e. g. to check your email on the way to the meeting), so the location cannot get much better. On the leisure part, it is also a 5 to 10 minute walk from the core of the city, so the offer of restaurants and pubs is high.
Concerning the premises as such, the Tulip Inn is the "economy" side of the Golden Tulip Hotel, with which it shares reception desk, bar and restaurant. The rooms at the Inn are comfortable, well equipped, clean, and they offer free Wifi as well (as opposed to many hotels in Noordwijk, where you have to pay 15 EUR per night).
The breakfast buffet at 12.50 EUR is good, with both hearty and sweet offers, juices, cereal, sausage, broiled eggs, several types of toast, etc.
I will certainly try to get this hotel on my next visit.

Stayed at The Tulip Inn for 2 nights this weekend past with my 2 friends, we had a triple room which was massive and the beds were soooooooo comfy!! The rooms were very clean and sheets were fresh and new!! The bathroom was very nice and clean, we could not fault it!! Our windows did not look on to anything other than other rooms however if you keep your inside screen pulled nobody can see in!! The Tulip is not good for people who have any kind of mobility problems because the corridors are narrow and the stairs are very steep!! (Most buildings in Amsterdam have steep stairs)

The location of The Tulip inn is second to none!! Straight ahead out the train station on the left at the side if The Grasshopper, cannot miss it?! Big building with 'Grashopper' written on it!! The hotel is at the front if the Red Light District and is surrounded by bars, cafes and fine places for food and again the red light district!! We found a little gem of a cafe just round the back called Hunters (cartoon dog)!! Worth a visit!! :) Out the tulip inn and turn right then left across the canal is where the big Main Street is, taking you to Dam square, pubs and shops all the way along! Also boat rides along the canals €15 but there is one for €9 both I would say would be the same, both 1 hour! Everything in minutes reach from The Tulip Inn, check out at 11am but there is a luggage storage room free of charge!! Very handy!! TV plays most channels and there is free wifi, but temperamental and slow but it's free so no real complaints about that!! No complaints about anything!! Budget priced hotel in the middle of the best parts of Amsterdam!! Exactly what we were after for a good fun weekend in Amsterdam!! No problems, some of the bad reviews are unjustified and folk need to get out more and see the city not stay inside clocking up things to complain about!! In a city like Amsterdam your room should only be for putting your head down!! It's not 5 star - if you want 5 star..... book a 5 star!! Tulip Inn was fun, clean and perfectly located for more fun!!! Recommended!!
