“Favorite "home" in the heart of Amsterdam”
Reviewed 18 November 2012

This is my third stay at Hotel (HOME) Nadia, and it's ever always so warm a welcome.

The Location is central and a block from the Anne Frank House and a half block from the iconic Westermarkt Clock Tower.

Osam and staff greet you warmly with a soft drink or water of your choice - such a sweet touch. Then incredibly, he makes sure there is a fresh bouquet of Amstedam flowers in your room!

We were only here for one night as a stop-over for our 10.5 flight back to Seattle, and still we are treated like honored guests.

The breakfast room is always available for your use, with coffee available. Also in your room is a mini-fridge, hot pot with tea and coffee, television and wifi free internet.

The rooms are either on a canal or the street next to the canal, and are small by U.S. "minds" but such a bargain and best location.

The steps are challenging - with no lift. Bear this in mind if you travel with heavy luggage and are not capable of ship-like steps with a steep rise.

The hotel has camera security entry and always someone at the desk. It is a wonderful home to come back to!

Thanks Osam as always!

Room Tip: Get a lower floor if steps are a challenge. Also go for the canal rooms and pay cash for a discount...

I'm writing this review after my 3rd stay in 4 years for an annual show at the RAI exhibition centre. The hotel is 'compact and bijou' for sure, but for a bed, breakfast and a shower at a reasonable rate near the city centre it does exactly that. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms clean (but not large!) and everything works - including free Wifi throughout. It is a 10-15min walk to the central station (easy one turn directions!), and a 2-3min walk to the Dam Square and all those attractions, including trams to everywhere! I will not be looking to stay anywhere else when I come next year - but be warned the steep stairs up from street to reception might catch a few people out! but it's worth the climb! I docked it one rating point simply because the rooms are small and breakfast basic - but that was fine by me!

Room Tip: upstairs and back from the street are quiter - but you can request 'a quiet room' and they w...

Once you get over the stairs to the reception desk the greetings are warm and genuine. Someone will get your luggage to your room from ground floor level. We arrived a bit early for the room to be ready but were given soft drinks and could relax in the breakfast room. Within 15mins our room was ready to go. The rooms are small but have all the necessary requirement for a few days stay. The location is great for all the central sites and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants close by. Breakfast is relatively basic with breads, croissants, yogurts, juices and tea/coffee. Would stay again, however if you need space in your bedroom, better look elsewhere.

Room Tip: The front is facing a tram route street and is closer to the main east church which bells go off eve...

Just spent one night at the Nadia 13/11/12 so a brief stay, the hotel was great, we found it easily and the location is good, only 5 mins from Dam square. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, also very helpful with storing luggage before we checked in, and the following day after check-out. It's a lovely old building, beware steep stairs, although some character is lost due to the way the property has been divided to create the rooms, also ceilings lowered. We had a great room on the first floor (No. 4) with a huge almost floor to ceiling picture window looking right out onto the adjacent canal, Think this was a free upgrade as they had space. We had a very peaceful night except for the chiming of the nearby Church clock! Continental breakfast was good - proper orange juice and good coffee. Overall for its two star rating and the price we paid (booked through Travel Republic) we thought it was a great place and would certainly return.

I stayed at Nadia Hotel from 5-8th October 2012.
The Staff are simply helpful, kind, cheerful and efficient but Best of all is the Boss, Osam is there to assist the travelers staying in his hotel. But the stairway is steep so not suitable for elderly. The Hotel is charming too and location is great as it's walking distance to most of the tourist attraction.
Simple breakfast include but wide variety of teas.
Mr Osam also insist that I take the canal tour which I am glad that I did as it's simply a wonderful experience.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was our first time in Amsterdam, and staying at Nadia Hotel contributed to make the experience so very fine and simple. Our hosts were very very welcoming and (for good) "professional", meaning that their organization and solicitude was simply perfect, and always with a smile. Thank you very much !

Room Tip: We asked a view on the canal, which we had for good.

The Nadia is very conveniently located within the centre of Amsterdam. Although our room was on the small side, the staff were absolutely wonderful with nothing too much trouble for them. Very friendly, helpful and accomodating. I would recommend this hotel for the warm welcome and excellent value for money.
