we stayed again in Amsterdam for the 3rd time in 2012 at the Hotel Nadia, same room, same wonderful feeling of being welcome there, same great breakfast time, same hapiness from the personel, and (if you forget the bed's width which can be similar to a U-Boot koje ;-) ) i ,i must say that this is not really perfect, but dar***, this is quite close to a great stay at at place that deserves this (and I get no frequent sleepeer miles for this review !!)

Thks Nadia for your hotel experience
See you soon

The Hotel Nadia has steep stairs to climb and the rooms are small. The location near the Ann Frank House is appealing, but the fact that it next to a tram line makes it loud. There also seems to be a lot of pedestrian traffic heading to and from Dam Square. My room on the third floor was hot, and I had difficulty sleeping. The breakfast was decent except I did not find any eggs like other hotels in Europe. On a positive note, I liked their security. You leave your key at the desk when you leave, and you are buzzed into the front door when you return. Although there are potential problems with this type of system, I found the staff trustworthy.

Room Tip: Understand that this is a traditional Dutch hotel with very steep stairs. If you have a lot of lugg...

The location of this hotel is great, close to shops and quality resaurants, but away from the noisy brash areas. The hotel is old and quirky, our budget room was small and the bathroom was tiny, the bed was comfortable and the sheets white crisp & pristine and they were changed once during our 4 night stay. Towels were plentiful and changed daily. The room had a fridge/tea and coffe making facilities/hairdryer and safe the free wifi was great too. The staff were welcoming and helpful and quietly went about their work. Breakfast was continental with choice of fresh breads.
Negative comments would be we had a room on the street side of the hotel and it was noisy due to traffic and trams..earplugs were essential. The hotel it did not have double glazing and the weather was bitterly cold when we were there (sub zero every day) so although the heating was on and the room warm there was a draught coming off the huge original sash style windows.
finally of course the stairs!! it was amazing how we got used to them...but be prepared!

Room Tip: ask for canal view and balcony avoid street side room

My partner and I stayed at Nadia hotel for 5 days in December.
It has Amsterdam very slippery stairs and small rooms but our trip was just perfect.
The staff helped us with our suitcases when we arrived and departure.
They helped us in any question we had about Amsterdam and they where very helpful.it was raining for 2 days so they gave us 2 umbrellas so we could avoide buying them.
There was a breakfast included which was not handful but enough. The dining room was open all the time for some more coffe, tea and small snacks.
We took a room in the first floor(that I have order in advanced because I didn't wanted to claim all those satires to the upper floors) with a balcony.the room was smaller than a non balcony room but it worth it. We where just next to the chapel but we never heard loud ringing or woke up from the bells.
The only thing that I think that needs to be better is the shower. It is not that comfretable and there is a "hoze" that u shower with.but they always have hot water and good heating in the hotel. The hotel location is great bacause it is not in the noisy center and it is 7 minutes walk from Dam squer and it is just easy to get wherever you want by foot or by bus/trum.
I wish you would enjoy you trim as we did!

We stayed at Hotel Nadia for four nights and had no regrets. The staff was excellent; very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very charming, comfortable and clean. Great location in the Jordaan district. We were street side, so it was a little noisy with the trams passing by at night, but we knew this before booking. I would definitely recommend Hotel Nadia.

Very, very tiny room. I was shocked on entering the room but surprisingly i found it so cosy and had a great couple of nights sleep on a very comfy bed. There was definitely not enough room to swing a cat but it was adequate for sleeping. Also very clean with tea and coffee making fatalities, fridge and flat screen tv.
Staff couldn't be friendlier and helpful, also a vase of fresh tulips in the room, lovely touch.
Location was ideal, less than five minutes walk to the left to the Anne franks museum and to the right also around five minutes walk to dam square. Perfect!

Oh how some people like to moan!
This hotel is in a very good location, near lots of attractions.
The rooms are small but this adds to the quaintness of the building. There's so much to do in amsterdam that you really only need to wash and sleep in the rooms anyway. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly and our rooms (there were 4 of us staying) were all clean.
The breakfast is continental but this is often standard in a lot of hotels in amsterdam.
We were offered 2 rooms to chose from when we arrived and took the smaller room of the two as the bed was bigger in the smaller room. The other room had a small balcony with a better view though.
We stayed for 4 days and couldn'treally fault much as far as the hotel was concerned.
What I would say is if you're a light sleeper this may not be the hotel for you as the church nearby rings it's bells and chimes throughout the night.
Overall though, a very comfortable stay!!
