I have been in this hotel another time previously. I found it even better of what I remembered. I was with a group of friends and we got a three beds bedroom and a two beds bedroom. Both of those were awesome, always very clean and very central. Breakfast in the morning varied (both salty and sweet, even though the second one is more present). 5 minutes away from Dam square, 2 minutes away from Anne Frank's house. Very cheap prices.

Room Tip: A few rooms have a very nice balcony, but those ones are a bit more noisy since they look at an impo...

I was suggested to book by a friend whose advise I trust but I didn't know what to expect.. as the hotel is an old building.. But no worries, everything is new and stylish inside and the location is great! The stairway up to the lobby welcomes you in perfect "Dutch style" but the staff are ready to help those who do not expect... :)The room was small but clean and comfy.
Nice buffet in the morning and very friendly and helpful staff (and my thanks to Hassan for helping me with the luggage down the stairs on my last day when I left very early in the morning!)

My husband and I stayed at the Clemens Hotel this past week for a few days during our honeymoon and we were so glad that we did. Upon our arrival the staff offered to carry our bags up the steep stairs. Yes, they are steep but so is pretty much every other set of stairs in Amsterdam. We had requested for a balcony and that is exactly what we got. The room was small but very clean and modern. We had beautiful fresh cut flowers on the table and a sweet welcome note. There was also a nice large flat screen tv on the wall. We woke up late the next morning and even though we missed breakfast the staff kindly prepared us a little plate of muffins and cappuccinos. Big bonus points earned there. The next day we wanted to visit the museum and the staff not only were able to sell us tickets (at cost) they provided us with a map and directions. We are so very thankful that we bought tickets in advance because the line at the museum for non-ticket holders was incredibly long. On the last day of our stay at the wonderful Clemens Hotel the staff offered to hold our bags even after we had checked out so that we could finish up on some sight seeing. The price can't be beat. The location is perfect and most importantly to us, the customer service was a step above, the staff was always friendly and helpful. We would stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you Clemens Hotel for a fantastic stay!

Room Tip: The balcony room was nice but there is some noise from the road. We enjoyed being able to watch the...

Everything was great at the Clemons hotel. The stairway up to the lobby and rooms was a little steep, but I got used to it. All the staff, especially Hassan, were fabulous. Great balcony. Nice buffet in the morning. Room was small, but clean and cool and comfortable.

Seeing it from the street it looked a bit dodgy but what a nice surprise was the inside. A very small room but crisp and clean! And when it is all about "location, location" this is a very nice hotel, nice price, very nice staff at a perfect location.

I was there for 2 nights in the middle of August. the Hotel was easy to find and close to everything people want to see from Amsterdam. The first impression was after entering the Hotel: OMG what a long and steep staircase! But the receptionist came directly to help us with the luggage. The Hotel is in an old building, but inside everything is new and stylish. Not the biggest rooms, but if you visit Amsterdam you are just inside for sleeping, so it is enough. The only negative thing is the streetnoise, if your room is on the side of the Raadhuisstraat. Breakfast was ok, in a beautyfull room with a balcony. Free WIFI and wellcomedring, a very friendly stuff, all in all it was a nice stay in a nice hotel in a very nice city.
