I stayed in one of the Eco cabins. It was very comfortable with plenty of space. I accidently double booked and the staff was very nice about refunding me for my mistake. They were very friendly as well.

Camp zeeburg is where I always stay whenever I visit Amsterdam. The prices are amazing and the staff are always happy to help with whatever you need. Checking in is so simple and even if you arrive on the campsite after reception is closed, they'll leave you an envelope with your name, the key (if you're in a cabin or wagonette) and directions to your accommodation. I've stayed in both a wagonette and a cabin and each have comfortable beds with all bedding included, an electric heater and plug sockets. The toilets and showers are lovely and clean with private cubicles and hot water. In my opinion, zeeburg is the most peaceful place to visit and it's so easy to get to and from town. They even sell 24, 48 and 72 hour tram passes at reception. I highly recommend purchasing these as it saves you so much hassle when getting the tram. Plus they save you do much money. The restaurant serves great food, and has such a chilled atmosphere. I can honestly say that there's nothing bad I can say about the campsite.

We stayed for 4 nights in one of the wagonettes. It was comfortable and always warm enough and just as good as a hotel in my opinion (apart from having to walk across the campsite to the toilets!) for a fraction of the price. Saying that toilets really weren't too far and were clean and plentiful, as were the showers. It was super easy to get into town, but out of the city enough to be able to go biking (you can hire bikes from the campsite) away from the moped-riddled cycle paths and down some pretty river-side paths, and our wagonette had a lovely view out over the river. Perfect if you want to enjoy the *ahem* greenery of Amsterdam as the wagonettes have a little balcony you can smoke on which in a way makes it even more convenient than a hotel. Also within biking distance of Browerij t'ij which is an amazing brewery-windmill combo which I would highly recommend also. Prices within the campsite for food and drink etc also very reasonable. Couldn't have asked for more really, especially considering the accomodation for out whole holiday cost less than one night in the centre of town.

Room Tip: Get a wagonette by the river!

I've spent 2 nights in tent with my girlfriend at this camping site and cannot do anything else but to praise them for what they are doing. Staff at reception was nice, spoke different languages and their service was fast. You can even withdraw cashback there if you didnt have time to stop at cash machine in the city. It was below 10 degrees but camping was full of tents and all cabins and wagonettes were sold out. There was super chilled atmosphere, everyone was smilling and easy going. Showers were clean, toilets a bit less, but hey, its up to us campers to keep them clean as the staff gives them proper cleaning each morning! There is a good restaurant / bar and even shop at reception which will sell you basic food and some camping stuff.

Camping is only 30 minutes from city centre by public transport. You can walk to nearest coffee shop in about 15 minutes (: And if you hire a bike for 11,50 a day from camping you can cycle to the city in about 20 minutes. Very easy, very safe a well recommended way of transport in Amsterdam! We loved it and cant wait to go back to this amazing city and this friendly camping site Zeeburg.

Room Tip: Stay at cabin or wagonette to get more comfort. But be aware that those routinely sell out and you n...

We had an excellent 4 day stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were in a campervan and found the facillities more than adequate. Getting into Amsterdam was easy, just a short walk over a bridge to the tram terminus. One tram took you directly to the museum area the other to the centre of town. They run every 10 minutes and we bought a 4 day travel card from reception and these worked on the buses too. Even with waiting for a tram it only took 30mins from our van to the museums.
