A grand building set on Dam Square. The Dutch Royal Family do not live here, however the state apartments are still used to accommodate visiting dignitaries. The palace has been also been used for civic and ceremonial purposes. Many of the rooms are closed to the public, however a tour of the building, though limited, is interesting and visitors can learn a lot of local history in the process.
