I don't understand how this could be considered a 3 stars hotel. The room is small and dirty. We did't even use the toilet for the smell and the dirty condition. During the night you hear all the doors slamming and at 3 or 4 an incredible smell of a burned steak arrived inside the room. At the bar the cost of a coffe is of 2.50 (not even in San Marco's Square in Venice) and it tastes dishes water.
My job is hotel receptionist and in my careeer i saw a lot of hotels (also during my travels of course) but this is so fare the worst.
The pictures they are showing are fakes because we saw 2 rooms and they are all similar (ugly and smelly).
Also the rate is not an excuse because I buy a service and nowhere is written that this service is
not worth any money.

I stayed for 4 nights. The objective of the trip was to participate in the Amsterdam marathon and visit the city. I have been all over the world and in a multitude of hotels of good quality. My experience at this hotel has been unique and a bit terrifying. The hotel is a very low quality three star establishment. My room was old but clean. There was no possibility to open a window and the only source of "fresh" air was an air conditioning unit. The room really needed fresh air.
The highlight of my stay occurred on the last night (Oct 22nd) when I woke at 5 AM to find that somebody was in the room. I got up very quickly and shouted in the loudest and angriest voice at the intruder to get out. I went towards him, flipped the light on and pushed him out of the room. I guess, he was a bit stunned by my reaction, babbled a few things and decided to vacate the premises. I immediately went to the front desk which was less than 200 feet away to tell them about the incident. They quickly ran out to locate the intruder but never caught him. They never apologize for the event and went back to their business as if nothing happened. Interestingly, when i told them that their rooms should have an inside lock or chain, they told me that it was not safe to install these in case of fire. Yeah right! I was leaving that morning so I immediately packed my bags and left for the airport. At checkout, no apology or even sympathy from the desk staff about the events. I am still dealing with the stress associated with this incident. So safety at this hotel is really within your hands. I am just happy and lucky that my intruder did not have any weapons and that he did not have any time to steal anything. For safety reasons, I do not recommend this hotel.
Unfriendly staff, no flexibility in the check-in, bar-pizzeria in the atrium with unpleasant odors throughout the hotel.
Cold room without extra blanket. The TV did NOT work. Reported to reception. NO action taken. The coffee machine did not work. Reported to reception. Stocked 2 days after. To avoid.
