Great access from the highway, generous rooms, clean, and metro station right next to the hotel. On top, free hotel parking which is rare for Amsterdam, and the metro is the direct line to central station and all of the central area. Reasonable price too.

Room Tip: try a room facing the park, not the parking, as this building is not the best sound-proofed I've...

Room was comfortable, clean and big. Bed was very comfortable. Very quiet location, easy accessable by tube - 1 min walk.

We got this hotel for its location. It's some few meters away from a metro station. However, the quality offered to the guests is horrible.

When you arrive, you notice is rather a motel than a hotel, with truckers and hookers around.

At first, the acoustic isolation is terrible. You hear the whole hotel through the walls. It means an horrible quality of sleep. Besides, they started a compressor just in front of our room at 7 am to wash the hotel external walls and logo (8th of june 2012), which is an enormous lack of respect with the guests.

Breakfast was just fine, but there was always something missing. And for the price we payed (around 10 €) we do expected much more.

I didn't dare to try their lunch or dinner.

Finally, service did the minimum. They were polite but made no effort at all to help the guests.

It's better to avoid this hotel. You can find good ones for a slightly higher rate.

Easy accessible from highway but in a quite quite zone. Good parking possibilities, clean and nice rooms with all needed to hand. Nice and helpful staff to all our points and questions. No negative point.

Room Tip: Rooms above Nr. 15 (E.g. 215 or so) should be more quite as they are oriented away the parking space...

My view of this hotel may be affected by the fact that I transferred here from Hotel Okura Amsterdam where I had experienced total luxury!! This hotel is basic (Travelodge style) accommodation, the rooms are small so you would not want to spend too much time in them. The staff were very helpful on arrival and attentive to my few needs. There is free wifi access with the code from reception. The room was clean and would serve as perfectly adequate accommodation for those just wanting to put their head down at the end of a long day. The location is great if you travel by public transport and the trip to/from the airport in under 5 euros by train. There is a park adjacent to the hotel, I did sit there in the sun and read in the afternoon for a while. If you are a female on your own be aware that the rooms open directly onto either the grounds or the open stairway which is accessible by anyone without any security measures. There are metal shutters on the windows which I used although this made the room very hot. I was not 100% comfortable sleeping here.

There will not find a grocery store or a nice restaurant ... And most people encounter only with darker skin. But there is a park for a run... They have secure parking.

The Campanile is a good basic condition hotel that is located in an ideal location only a few hundred meters from the Metro Station. As indicated by many you should avoid driving in Amsterdam so the Campanile is a 20 minute train ride from Centraal Station making it a great location to base your Amsterdam visit. I thought the price was a bit high for early May and not really peak season but it seems that Amsterdam commands these prices and people will pay. The parking is free and gated adding another plus and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was very high priced so we we can't review it. The Internet is free and efficient. The rooms are small and basic with good satellite channels. Overall a very standard hotel with a great location so if you need a good basic room with an excellent location the Campanile can provide that.

Room Tip: The train runs till Midnight but the bus will still run a bit later than that.
