We stayed with Sylvia and Theo in July 2013. They both are amazing hosts - very warm and kind. Their boat is beautiful and its location is great. So if you want to experience living on the boat in Amsterdam we cannot recommend a better place. Also, the boat is very well designed to give the guests private space - including kitchen space and a private deck.
They are also very close to tram stop and have bikes for hire, so also ideally located for seeing the city. They were also very kind to leave a bottle of bubbly and some chocolates in our fridge when we returned after a day of sight-seeing, which was then ideal to take up to the deck and relax with. The breakfast they serve is amazing - croissants, yogurt with fruits, cheese, bread selection, juice (we are both vegetarians). We had breakfast on the deck and it was amazing. We also actually ate our dinner also on the deck and watched the sun set. It was truly beautiful. The day we left, I had to leave early and Sylvia was very kind to leave breakfast for me in the fridge. All in all staying with them really made it feel like the perfect holiday!
