As an Airline Crew member for many years I have high expectations in the hotels I stay. After reading some of the reviews I became concerned but I can say everything was very enjoyable at this hotel. Location is excellant. It is on the opposite end of Central Station but is stil busy without the huge crowds. Lots of Restaraunts and Bars in the immediate area. There is a trolly stop right outside the hotel. Canal boats are right across the street. The lobby is well secured with electronic keys needed to enter the lobby at night and then again to use the elevator. Lobby is very contemporary and the best way to describe the style from the lobby to the rooms is an "ikea" style modern furnishings. The halls are very quiet. Our room was a standard room facing the Marriott rather than the canal. For us this was perfect as it was a quieter location on the side street rather than off the busy street out front. I can't say the room was large but is was large enough. There were two twin beds pushed together to form a king size bed. Sheets and duvets where soft and luxurous in a crisp white. Althought the beds where two twins they were extremely comfortable and the we had our choice of many types of pillows. Lighting throughout the room was perfect. Mini spots are placed throughout the room with two built in reading lights on each side of the bed over the night stands. A mini bar is in the room and can be used as a small refrigerator. The bathroom was as clean as could be with modern tub, lav and sink. A type of sandstone was throughout the bath including the walls, floor and counter. Great soaps too! All in all this is a great hotel for your visit without spending a fortune. The staff was very nice and I would recommend this to anyone without hesitiation. Have fun in Amsterdam!

Having booked through Priceline with little knowledge about the NH chain, it's fair to say that I was slightly anxious about what I would find on arrival. There was no need.

The hotel was nicely located, about 10-15 minutes walk from the 'centre' of Amsterdam but within only 2 minutes or so from some excellent bars, restaurants and coffee shops (although avoid the New York Steak House like the plague - we placed an order and after 30 minutes, the waiter re-appeared to apologise for 'forgetting to put the order through, despite having only 4 tables to deal with!). There were no problems with noise and our room was spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. Staff were very pleasant and always willing to help. I can't comment on the quality of the food served in the hotel as we always preferred to find somewhere in town. At 25 euros each for breakfast, however, I would seriously encourage any guest to take the short walk across the road to the nearby pancake restaurant. Have one served with pineapple - amazing!

This Hotel is situated on Stadhouderskade just south of Leidseplein. It is easily reached from Central Station by taking the number 1,2 or 5 tram to Leidseplein.
I had a standard room which would of been a good size anywhere but for Amsterdam this is big.
The double bed was comfortable (there is a selection of pillows available to suit your preference)
The Bathroom was small but well kept with a good shower.
the room had T.V (BBC1 and 2 available) internet access (surcharge) tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar, iron and ironing board, bathrobe and slippers.
The room was cleaned every day.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Vondel park north entrance is just a couple of hundred metres away and the Rijksmuseum is within easy walking distance.
There is a tram stop for the #1 tram directly outside the hotel or walk up to Leidseplein for more tram options.
I managed to get a real bargain for this hotel and if the price was right I would not hesitate to stay here again.
To sum up a great hotel in a good location.

After our 14 our flight it was great to come to this hotel. The bed was amazingly comfortable and a good size and everyone was very nice. The breakfast buffet was very good. Probably the only good food in Amsterdam. It was alittle pricey but good luck finding anything better. It did get a little hot in the room. We just opened the window and it seemed to cool down fast. So it was worth it. Also it was very nice that they let us keep our bags there after check out. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was very nice and quiet. Hotel was within a quick walk to all of the late night spots in Amsterdam. We walked from the hotel to the Red Light District and to eat really convienent. Very nice and clean and the staff was polite and orderly. Even more than we could have asked for.

Loved it
