This always appears a rather cold and unwelcoming place. I have to say that I find some of the commentary on the photography on show can appear rather pretentious. But I have also seen some displays of excellent, evocative, provocative photography here, especially by US photographers. Worth taking the risk as you might see something rather good. A pleasantly quiet and contemplative place, unlike so many other attractions in Amsterdam.

If you're not an enthusiastic on photography probably you won't like it...
On the other hand you may see ever changing expositions of not top photographers but with some really stunning photos.
Maybe it's not the best price (EUR 8,75), but it's worth it (if you really like photos)...

This museum had a number of photos that were reproductions that were on display. Not worth the 8.75 euros for the museum.

If you love photography this place is worth a visit. Well laid out museum with changing exhibitions. Not all the photographers are well-known. but the pictures are still great. There is also an cafe and a lovely back-garden which probably is great in the summertime.
The entry-fee is a bit stiff ( about 8 euros), but I thought is was worth the price.

What you get to see here, for a stiff price, is ridiculously meagre. The reputation of this museum is totally unwarranted.
