The best part of the hotel is the location. The street is beside the red light district and is lined with restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. It is only a 5 minute walk to the train station which makes it perfect for train travellers. The street is cut off for motorists, so enjoyable to walk down. Goes straight down to the Dam square.

The hotel room we had was small and very tight. A little too small for our liking, but we were only there for two nights, so not a big deal. The room only had a small window that opened to a back alley. Not very attractive. The bathroom was tight, but nicely done. There were coffee cups, but no coffee maker or kettle. Bed was OK. There is a safe in the room.

The hotel breakfast was not too bad, mix of hot and cold. Worth the 8 euros compared to what a restaurant will charge. The front desk staff were only moderately helpful. They did not seem to engage any of the patrons. There is a bar right at the front desk which we did not use, Perhaps they are more friendly if you are sitting at the bar.

Hotel felt secure as had to ring to get in. There was no noise from the other guests, and the place was clean. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend as an ideal location for a couple of fun days in Amsterdam.

Stayed here as a one night break in between the 2 nights on the p&o ferry.
It's bang in the middle of the hustle and bustle of amsterdam, close to bars, restaurants and dam square etc.
As soon as you go through the revolving door however it's like you are transported to somewhere different! Calm, clean, classy and chilled out, have a rest then get back out there!
Beds were amazingly comfortable, room small but adequate for our one night stay.
Was able to leave luggage when we arrived until check in time and then when we checked out until we needed to get back on the coach so no carting our cases around for two days.
If you want an upmarket place to rest your head AND be in the thick of it, then book now.

We stayed here 4 nights in Oct 2013.

Location is excellent (amazingly quiet given how loud the street is outside!).

We never ate or drank there so cannot comment but rooms always cleaned and well decorated if a little small.

Staff were nice enough too.

It was a little pricey I thought but then location is pretty spot on to have access to most things.

Good place to go if going for a couple of nights.

This is the third time i've stayed here and it's still good. They've done the hotel up since my last visit and it looks really nice.
The location is central and only a few minutes walk from the station, tram lines and many attractions which is great. We had a room on the ground floor this time and i was a little worried about the noise as it can get quite loud around there of an evening. There was no need for concern as we had no issues at all. The room itself was fairly spacious and was very clean. The only slight issue was that the cover on the bed was quite small so my husband and i ended up fighting each other for it in the night!
The area itself is seriously busy and can be a little seedy but thats kind of the trade off for such a central location. Once inside the hotel though it all seems a million miles away.
Staff were courteous and helpful so no complaints there. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there are quite a few places around locally that are reasonable and cheap. It looked good for the price though.
All in all i would definitely recommend it and would certainly be happy to return.

Stayed for one night for the King's day over the weekend! it is in a good location (close to Amsterdam central station), price is reasonable for a hotel, room is spacious and clean!

The only downside is the room is not sound proof, so if you will hear the conversation from your next door neighbour.

Will definitely go back to stay at this hotel again (with ear plugs!) but can't fault the hotel for the location and cleanliness!

I stayed here over new year and had nye in Amsterdam hotel is in a great location, it was clean and cheap and breakfast was ok too.

One of the management blokes quite rude to us when we returned to the hotel on New Year's Eve which has caused me to mark it down otherwise it would have been a four.
