We travelled here just to party for the weekend.
The location of the hotel is brilliant, its 2 minutes from dam square and a short walk from central station.
The staff were polite and accommodating and the room was clean.
We would def use this hotel again if we returned to amstetdam in the future.

Stayed here with my teenage daughter and her friend for one night. The hotel has a very good location with restaurants and pubs in the same street and very short distance to shopping areas. The area is probably not something you should drag small kids into...

The rooms are clean and have whatever you expect from a 3 star hotel. The service is good and people very friendly.

The only negative experience is that the walls are paper thin and depending on your neighbor the experience can be very different. I had very silent neighbors but could still here they were talking (not shouting).

Room tip: High floors, away from the street (and without neighbors)

Amazing Air Condition, rooms are clean and reasonably sized. Beds are comfortable. In a great location not too far from everything, even the train station.

The showers water pressure was perfect, feels like you are under a waterfall. If I had one complaint, it would be how water goes everywhere when showering so it can make quite a mess in the bathroom. Not a major issue for me.

Just returned from a 1nt break with my daughter in Amsterdam, booked Hotel Luxer after looking it up through trip advisor.
Arrived on an early flight and had said on the booking with booking com. that we would be at hotel by 11am. but were happy to leave our cases in a safe place. we got a bit lost finding the hotel but got there early 10.30 am and the very helpful desk staff said our room was ready! this was a great start for our wonderful time in Amsterdam.
Room was at side of hotel (101) large walk in shower, twin beds nice room- no view just buildings,(next doors kitchen with a few bottles etc crashing into bins early eve.) which normally would hack me off, but it was fine- as the only rooms with a street view would be at the front and loud at night. I got the best 10hrs sleep that night!
The hotel is literally at the other end of the street to Dam sq. and 10 mins from central station
when u know how to get there ..
We didnt have breakfast as there are so many nice places to have breakfast/lunch/dinner etc etc.
Really great place for breakfast is Bakkerswinkle which is same side as hotel 50yds on way to dam. sq. We went on a really good boat tour from the place between hotel and station for 8 euros each- lasted about an hour. then got the free ferry behind the station to the amazing Eye.film building. great outside terrace there also to have a drink. the building is truly amazing inside as well as outside.Funky stuff in the shop too. Went to the Anne Frank house- pre booked tickets on line a few weeks ago which was worth doing as it would have been at least an hour wait. You need about an hour to go round.
Will book hotel luxer again if/when we return to Amsterdam.

Room tip: rooms away from street would be quiet.
