This lovely little market sells everything from a wide range of fresh fruit to wigs, clothes and souvenirs. If you take a wander through here you will find yourself surrounded by locals doing a bit of shopping.

The fruit smoothies for €1.50 are excellent!

A great market to wonder through. Prices are actually quite good compared to Waterlooplein Market. The delicious herring sandwich did hit the spot. This place is frequented by locals. Worth the visit.

A tram ride away from Centraal (No. 16), this is the place to go souvenir shopping before going home. You can find cheeses, jams, magnets, tulips, the tacky furry Dutch clogs and even Dutch bikes, along with the usual flea market stuff from Asia. It's one long street filled with choices including food. Have your lunch here and you can do it cheaply for less than 5 euros (Harringbrood, Grilled Chicken Sandwiches, Dutch Pancakes, fresh stroopwaffels, etc.) and down it with fresh juices for 1 euro and you're all set.

This was one place where I could see several items being sold on the streets. Starting from food to clothing, flowers to artefacts, shoes to bags etc etc. Loved the food, bought some products at throw away prices. You get rip off of several brands as well. This is a must visit place if you are travelling to Amsterdam. There is a ferry stop right next to the market, so it makes it much more accessible. Make sure u keep all your cash safe in ya pocket/wallet.

I sew costumes and I found an abundance of usable fabric at a much lower price than at home. Worthy of loading up empty space in my suitcase or carry it on. The cheese is shrink wrapped and much fresher than in the store. Also an item I could bring home. The stroopwavels are the best. I recommend this vendor to anyone who is going to visit A'dam. Perfect place to have patates frites or croquettes for lunch.
