“Great place, fantastic staff and would stay here again”
Reviewed 17 May 2013 via mobile

I stayed for one night prior to the Europa Cup Final.
Friendly, efficient and courteous staff ensured we had a great stay.
Our room overlooked the canal which I would recommend anyone staying here to book.
Excellent Spa with friendly staff.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April and loved it. The location was very convenient and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Wine in the evening was a nice touch. We would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Modern and up to date hotel on inside and exterior that adequately, but not perfectly, blends into historic neighbohood. Never stayed in an Andaz before, and thought it might be a little too hip of a hotel for an older dog, but that was not the case. Felt very comfortable there. The hotel has free wine in the library from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and internet, and bicycles are free, so they are not trying to nickel and dime you. Good restaurant suggestions from concierge staff who really made an effort to get reservations during busy time as Queen's Birthday celebration was approaching. Room might have been a little tight for two, but fine for a solo traveler. They might have larger rooms for couples. Very pretty garden in back. Overall, a very good choice.

Wildly beautiful Hotel on a great Street facing a canal.
Staff was great, very helpfull, very kind and eager to please.
The room was quite spacious even for U.S. standards, with great amentities and great bed and bedding.
The shower/sink/w.c. is very unusually situated directly in room which provides little or no privacy-not conducive for a family. There is no bathroom per-se.
The common areas, lobby, and restaurant are very beautiful and very, very interesting decor.
Very centrally located and walking distance to all major attractions.
All-in-all a very unique and pleasant experience, if in Amsterdam I would return. Recommended!

Staff is very well trained and attentive right from the moment you are walking into the hotel. Complementary drink when checking in and between 17.00 and 19.00 (?) is a nice extra. If you choose to drink at the bar instead you have to be prepared to pay quite lot ( e.g 15,- for a GT), but that is not much different in other 5 star hotels.
The gym is quite small, but has all you need, good equipment and free bottles of water and towels.
The rooms are quite stylish, but definitely not my style ( a question of taste of course). Too overwhelming and too much, somehow gives it a kind of cheaper look and feel. Materials used in bathroom and toilet also do not have a top quality look, although it is definitely ok. Would definitely have preferred a much bigger mirror in the bathroom, not outside. Matrass is good
The (free) bicycle rental service is great. It is so much more fun to explore the city on the bike and it saves time and tired feet as well.

Very welcoming reception, large quiet room view of the garden.
The decor is very contemporary and fun at the same time
The first day my breakfast was 45' late and they apologized a lot and gave it to me free.
Next time I go to Amsterdam I will stay at the Andaz again ..

Room Tip: Choose a room overlooking the garden, very silent

A wonderful experience with helpful staff. The room, although not enormous, was marvellous with a large walk in shower, dressing table and walk in wardrobe and together with theview of the canal this room did not disappoint in any way.

Room Tip: If you opt for a canal view be prepared for a some noise at the weekends
