“Trendy Hotel in the heart of Amsterdam”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

I've been to Amsterdam 6+ times, but this was by far the best experience. Located on a quiet canal within walking distance to everything Amsterdam has to offer.

As is typical with all their hotels the Andaz removes the walls and barriers for a welcoming environment. From the red tulip chairs in the lobby to the updated blue and white delft inspired wallpaper, this place screams trendy!

Unfortunately parking is extremely expensive. If you can ditch the rental car before checking in - It's highly recommended

We especially liked the cookies and wine at happy hour.

You won't be disappointed

Room Tip: We had an inside room which was extremely quiet. The bathroom was impressive compared to most Europ...

A very fine hotel befitting the city of amesterdam. I loved every thing about the hotel, the service, food, decor, art, and the creativity of Marcel Wanders. Location of the hotel is excellent, it is on a quiter part of canal and is still very close to all the places of interest. Rooms are highly decorated but very comfortable. The bathroom Is very different and yet user friendly. A great experience.

Room Tip: Canal facing rooms offer a great view, this is Amsterdam

Beautiful hotel on a midway canal ring. The rooms are updated Amsterdam chic. There are references to Dutch history throughout the hotel. The location is quiet which is a plus in noisy Amsterdam but it is just a quick walk to the center of town. Breakfast is not included and can be pricey. There are very few restaurants that serve breakfast early in Amsterdam so take this into consideration. Although the rooms are not large, they are functional. The bathroom set up (room and bathroom flow together) is always fun for a hotel stay though it does offer just a but less privacy when you are getting ready in the morning or at bedtime.

I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Amsterdam. It is quite new, has stunning decoration indoors and fantastic service - from the reception and the concierge, to the lobby bar and room service, everything was to our liking. I particularly enjoyed the layout of the room - though the bathtub is right in the middle, it is extremely charming and beautiful. I loved it here and will be back again!

Room Tip: Rooms with the canal view are unique!

A very modern and stylish hotel. The lobby is amazing. We arrived very early around 6am but they made their best to find us a room. We didnt wait more then half an hour and still they offered us coffee and tea. We had a room on the canal . The view is amazing and the room is quiet nice the beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the hotel. The hotel is very well situated. walking distance from almost all the sites. Service is really good. All in all a great experience !

I recently booked the Andaz Amsterdam as a post-cruise overnight stay and was pleasantly surprised. My cab driver commented that the building used to be a library and that he would go there as a child, which inspired the décor, very modern with traditional Dutch touches...it was such a treat to stay there! The Front Desk staff was most welcoming and professional, made me feel right at home, and the room was nicely appointed, spacious and extremely comfortable. I also enjoyed the menu and service at their restaurant. The hotel has a great location facing the canal and a short walk from the main streets--it's truly a small jewel in Amsterdam and I can't wait to go back!

This beautifuly decorated hotel, designed by the famous Duch designer, Marcel Wanders, made our stay in Amsterdam so enjoyable, that we already plan our next visit there.
The rooms are luxerious, the loby and restaurant are fascinating, the architecture is inspiring and at the same time pampering and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful, young and cool.
The location is perfect, on one of Amsterdam's lovliest canals, close to Ann Frank House.
All made our stay in Amsterdam last March, a perfect stay!
