“Well located and quiet”
Reviewed 1 September 2014

Good location outside the busiest city centre, yet in a nice walking distance from all the sights. Not the biggest of the rooms and perhaps not the cosiest (no view at all), but had all the necessities, and for spending the night or two or three it was ok. Breakfast was fine and staff friendly.

Stayed at Hotel Espresso, for 3 nights. Comfortable beds, great breakfast and loved the free coffee in the lobby. Down side, only vending machine food or beverage after the breakfast service. It's too bad they can't offer something in the evenings. Staff was helpful, but not overly. Location was good for airport arrival, easy to catch the bus, opted for a cab, due to weather on our departure. We walked most everywhere, or opted for a bus or canal bus. Grocery market down the street. Wifi was good in the room, as well.

Comfortable rooms, great breakfast variable service - most we're very friendly but a few made us feel like they were doing us a favour. Well situated just outside of busy city centre but close to museums, Vondelpark and a short walk into town. Overall - would stay here again.

The hotel is close to most attractions in Amsterdam , lobby very nice and cozy , rooms were ok but a little nosy . The only major problem was the cleaning service- the hand wash bottle was empty when we arrived and never replaced during our stay , sheets never changed in 4 days , towels not always replaced. Except that , lighting in bathroom was too dark , couldn't do my makeup right. In spite of all those things, I would recommend the hotel because of its location , nice staff , design , and free coffee

We stayed here for a night mid July. Although we were not able to check in early as we arrived in the morning, the staff made sure our luggage was stored properly and offered us coffee. Since it was close to the tram stop and nearby attractions such as the museums, we had no problem making full use of the time while waiting for the rooms to be ready. The staff had good initiative to find us connecting rooms, which were very helpful.

Internet connection was good in bit hour rooms. The free coffee concept was innovative. Rooms are small but not too bad if you are staying for less than a week. There are convenience stores, restaurants and a pizza outlet along the same street. No doubt that I will recommend the hotel to others going for a short stay in Amsterdam.

I stayed for two nights in July. Hotel is clean, free wi-fi worked really well in my room and the breakfast was simple but good value for money. They also have bikes to rent which is very convenient in the city. Only down side was thin walls as the first night I heard next door get in late in the night. Location is excellent and I am planning to stay here again. This hotel is a safe bet.
