Ever go to a great restaurant and have a rude waiter? Welcome to the lover's cruise.
Great way to see the city, food was really good, and it combined the best of seeing things while you dine. We all were put off when the captain passed Ann Frank's house and told us all it was a fake and they lived elsewhere. (wikipedia does not support this statement) He later went on to say Ann Frank died of natural causes....when a fellow passenger shouted.. "yeah... in a concentration camp starving." the looks on the passengers was jaw dropping. Figure by writing about the good, the Lovers Company will get captain jan or whatever his name was on the dinner tour a tutorial on world events and how to be politically correct. Other than that... what fun!

The dinner cruise was a nice gift from a family member arranged for us. Easy to find the place and boarded in time. Tables were set for two and four respectively depending on group sizes. A nice cocktail for boarding and we got comfortable. Fresh bread, taster starters, guinea foal for main and mini desert selection for deserts, nicely rounded off with tea and coffee. Nothing was too much trouble for the waitresses and we had a fantastic time. Wine flowed nicely and we were topped up with water as require. Soft drinks and beer were made available upon request. We loved taking in the sights of Amsterdam by boat and good chat and company. By way of comparison we did a Paris dinner cruise at New Year and where this was smaller scale was more intimate and less formal which I liked. The only thing I'd comment on was the language translation was annoying and could not hear it with all the chit chat from fellow diners, would leave it out. Thoroughly enjoyed, made our holiday and would recommend. x

This boat with dinner cruise is far and away the best means of seeing this city of many canals, Amsterdam. We boarded the long glass topped boat across from the Train Station, and were very pleasantly surprised at the truly superior, elegantly presented, and delicious dinner we were served. Both the dining and sailing staffs were exceedingly competent and more than friendly, helpful, accommodating. The glass top is a big bonus, as the cooler temperatures during our evening cruise might well have been uncomfortable otherwise. My wife and I found this to be an excellent review, having spent a few days roaming the city on foot, and a source of wonder at some of the sights we had not seen prior. This is an adult pursuit; my guess is small children might well not enjoy it as much. Highly recommended.

My husband and I along with our friends have done many dinner cruises over the years and unfortunately, this one was not up to par. The tour itself was very good but the food was below expectations. If we were to do it again, we'd book the 'booze cruise' - the canal tours with wine/beer and later go out for dinner.

Wasn't expecting very good food. Wow, was I surprised. Decent wine and plenty of it. The bread and chutney was pleasant. The pheasant was excellent. Once you've seen Amsterdam you've aren't going to see anything new. I definitely would recommend this dinner cruise for first timers.
