Walking randomly through the streets of Amsterdam, my friend and I found this adorable restaurant. They were super kind and took their time to make sure we enjoyed our night out. The wine, food and desert were delightful and the ambient was very pleasant. If you want a cozy place to go with someone, you should try this restaurant. I hope one day be able to visit Amsterdam again and go again

Thank Andre M

Had meal, as adults we were not convinced by menu so ordered meals for children. One was fine (salmon pasta) but the tomato soup was simply a tin of plum tomatoes with truffle oil (or was told it was)
What it was is def not soup. We were told by chef it was original natural and simple soup - agree it was simple when a can of tomatoes is used!! and virtually left at that. We said no thank you our child did not want despite offer to run thru blender. So we get bill with soup at 7.50 eu included which they took off when asked
Nice ambience, nice people but authentic Italian? My wife is English and cooks better Italian!!

This is not the best Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. However, if you want something simple with friendly service, you may enjoy it. We went on a groupon deal and the food was OK but not excellent. Our favourite item was the fresh pasta (pumpkin filled ravioli). Not sure we'll go back.

The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays so keep that in mind. Probably best to book a table in advance as it was very full.

We had two meals here during our stay in Amsterdam. On the first occasion the place was almost empty and we were a bit apprehensive but the food that arrived was really good, a delicious vegetarian antipasto and tasty pasta. Our next visit, on a Saturday night, was a different experience. The restaurant was quite full on this occasion and they really didn't seem to be able to cope with the crowd. The food was very slow at arriving at the tables and a number of diners were getting irritated. We again had the vegetarian antipasti which were as good as before but the main courses, for which we had to wait almost an hour after the starters, were mediocre and the mushroom risotto was quite tasteless. The house dessert was excellent and the serving staff were pleasant and helpful. While Nunzio and Haidi as front of house are efficient, they obvioulsy need to employ more people in the kitchen.

The place is very pretty and elegant. We really enjoyed the nice ambience. I only wish the food would be better. It was ok but really nothing special. I think that next time i would look for some other italian restaurant.
