This hotel is perfect for location and for those who aren't spending much time in their room! The stairs are so steep, I would not recommend to the elderly. Some of the staff were very helpful with map reading etc but others made us feel unwelcome and awkward. We had a member of staff knock on our door at about 11pm one night to tell us to shut the bathroom door after us? Slightly inappropriate and made us feel very unwelcome. Also the kitchen door is always left open wide so we presumed it was for all guests, so we stored some drinks in the fridge. When we went to retrieve the drinks a member of staff followed us in and rudely said we are not allowed to use this kitchen we must ask, I felt very unwelcome. If it is a private kitchen there should be a sign, the member of staff then continued to watch us whilst we removed our drinks.
The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything!
Breakfast was brought to your bed at 8.30am everyday which was pleasant.
Reception closed very early, they just locked the door and went, so you had to wait til morning.
Overall the location is good, right next to the tramlines, 15 min ride to the centre! The hotel needs a refurb though!
