the staff was great and helpful and took care of us in the best way possible, the b&b is best located (close to the central station and to center of the city), the rooms are big, clean, cousy and designed originally.
gives great value for money.
Strongly recommend.

The ideal location for a trip to Amsterdam, close to the Central Station and the nice shopping area of Haarlemmerstraat. The major attractions in Amsterdam can easily be reached by foot or public transportion. And at the same time, the B&B area is soooo quiet at night that you're guaranteed a good nights rest!
And what a great reception by hosts Wimmo en Godwin! They gave us some wonderful tips on where to eat out (Lieve!) and other must sees (DoubleTree Bar). We hope to be back soon!

We had just gotten back from a very short but wonderful visit in Amsterdam. This was our first visit to Amsterdam. Coming from another European country, we had second thoughts about taking the train as we were arriving very late in the evening. We had called to let Barangay know we were coming in later than usual because of delayed/rerouted flight and had asked about the safety of walking from Central station to Barangay. Godwin assured us it was very safe and train route we took! Finding the inn was not a problem either as the directions we were given were very clear. It was about a 5 minute walk from the station.
We stayed in the Bel studio apartment which was quite spacious even with 4 luggages on the floor. Drawers and a cabinet were available but since we were only there for 2 full days, we didnt bother using them. The kitchen is a full kitchen with microwave and a good size refrigerator. The bathroom may be a bit tight for some people but we were perfectly fine with it. It did seem a quite neighborhood since we slept very well for those 3 nights.
We are a family of 4 with 2 young teenagers and wanted to eat in for breakfast and dinner. Barangay is a short walk to the local supermarket which had everything we needed.
We didn't take any public transportation other than the train from/to airport just because the major attractions that we went to were within 30 minute walk - Anne Frank, Hermitage (where Van Gogh is temporarily housed), Amsterdam Museum, flea and flower markets.
Wimmo also showed us on the map where to walk on nice streets other than the touristy spots. Other than the rain/snow, it was a great visit!
Thanks, Godwin and WImmo for making our trip a memorable one!

Room Tip: Looking for a clean and spacious bed and breakfast in a very good location, this is it!

Used this centrally located B&B as our base during a three day stay in connection with the Amsterdam Marathon, and will certainly come back. The friendly, but yet discrete hosts and the spacious studio flat made the stay more than pleasant. Well equipped kitchen makes you self-sufficient, but plenty nearby restaurants are there to carter for your needs too.

God and wimmo are 2 very Nice persons, Ther want you to spend a good Time in Amsterdam. Rooms are pleasant and very clean. When you left the b&b you can let your luggages for a couple of hours if you want to go around Before you leave the city. You can ask them everything, they will do the best to help you. The b&b is in the center close from the central station but no noise. Breakfast until 11am sooooo good!
Go to barangay!!!!!

Room Tip: The red key one!

Our group of 6 is planning a trip to Amsterdam in June and have been looking for lodging that would comfortably sleep our extended family. I wanted to stay at this B & B due to the wonderful reviews but a 3 night minimum prevented us from reserving rooms for our 2 day visit to Amsterdam. But the owners of B & B Barangay offered us a beautiful apartment next door which comfortably sleeps 5 to 6 people and have been in constant communication with us to accomodate our group. Unfortunately our plans have changed but on our next visit I will definitely stay at either of their places. They have to be the nicest B & B owners I have been in contact with over years of traveling!
