This Hotel was selected through Bookings.com as a place to stay whilst being in Amsterdam. Upon arrival the people at reception were unhelpful and blatantly unfriendly. This happened through our 4 day stay. Upon our arrival every time the reception clerk would not even look at the guests, and not greet any of us! This happened with all the clerks that worked during our stay at the Hotel.
The location is central although the Hotel is in an ill state of repair. The room we had was on the first floor. It was dirty upon arrival. Sugar spills from previous hotel guests was still on the broken cupboard. I do not know what type of party went on in the room previously, but the stains on the wall against the bed was not only suspicious, but also indicative that the walls are never cleaned. The linen is thin, as is the towels (old and washed out).
The room was not cleaned or made up during one of our days at the Hotel. They said they must have forgotten the room!! No reprise or action to clean the place!
There is no air-con.
