Lovely hotel to stay in just a little bit out of the way for me. It was only around ten minutes on the bus into the city centre or around a half hour, 40 mins walk. On our last day we rented bikes from the hotel which was nice and handy to get into town with and experience a bit of the culture.

If you are looking to be very central I wouldn't go for this hotel, the location is the only thing I would say is off putting about it. I personally like to be able to walk out the hotel and be central.

The staff were so lovely, they couldn't be nicer.

If you do stay here, do not go out onto the 'balcony' in the hall, this is actually a fire escape which we ended up getting locked out on and had to walk down 8 floors of scary spiral stairs!

We stayed here while visiting Amsterdam. This hotel is outside of the busy center but directly on the bus route that runs every 10 mins to the central station, which is only a 15 min ride. We enjoyed the accommodations, beds were comfortable and plenty of space. The hotel restaurant was very good for dinner!

This is a really nice hotel rooms are really nice and it is just the right distance from the city centre as I don't like being near to much noise.Never stopped for food so can't really comment on that but am sure it was lovely.Got to love the beer in the hotel bar it defiantly feels stronger than the Heineken in England. One small complaint is the price of the mini bar it is very tempting to empty it which we done when we were having a drink just watch out for the bill when you check out as it's not cheap.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel in June 2014 for 3 days. This hotel was a great experience for both of us as we had searched for a comfortable place to stay near the center of the city of Amsterdam. The hotel was just next to a bus station ( bus 48 goes to the city center every 15 minutes). It's only a 10 minute ride till the Amsterdam Central Train Station by bus and an hour if you're willing to walk. The room was quite big and had a big and a comfortable bed. Sheets and towels were changed daily. The bathroom had a nice shower/bath which I really enjoyed as not many hotels offer that ( I travel quite a lot and nothing is better than a bath after an exhausting day!). A kettle with tea and coffee was also available in the room, so was sugar and sweetener. The only thing you should be careful with is the automatic minibar-if something is moved or taken out of it, you're automatically charged by the hotel. If you want to use it as a fridge, you have to contact the reception.
Overall it was a great stay and if we are ever back in Amsterdam, we will definitely be returning to this hotel.

I stayed here at the end of January with my boyfriend this year, and have to say one of the nicest city hotels i have stayed in. It was out first time visiting Amsterdam and we will definitely be returning, and stay back at this hotel.

We arrived mid afternoon and got a taxi from the airport- this was the only small negative i can comment on as the hotel is a little distance in the taxi and cost around £45. Having said this you can get a train directly from the airport to the Central Amsterdam and go to the hotel from there. However we just wanted to get straight to the hotel with our luggage etc.

Upon arriving at the hotel we really were so impressed and were immediately glad we picked this hotel. It was very modern, spacious and tastefully decorated. As this is an Art hotel there were lots of paintings up on the walls, and lots to look at. Reception were very friendly helpful. Make sure you ask for the 48 hour travel pass from the reception which you can use on all the buses and trams (make sure you scan when you get on and off as if you don’t its no longer valid)

The rooms are lovely and again we were surprised at how nice they actually were for how long we paid. They are really modern with nice decor but also very cosy. The bath and shower were both very spacious. There was also a seating area which is quite rare for a hotel room. We did not spend an awful lot of time in the hotel as we were out most of the day and night exploring for 3 days, but would definitely stay here longer. We were sad to leave.

Hotel is literally a 10 minute bus ride to Central Amsterdam from outside the hotel which runs regularly day and night. If you’re going to Amsterdam i would 100% recommend this hotel and to be honest i can’t fault it. We did not eat or drink in the hotel restaurant but it did look lovely. We had an amazing time and will definitely be coming back to stay here at the Amsterdam Art Hotel 

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floor have good views

We stay for 3 days in Art Hotel. When you enter in this hotel is similar to enter in a Modern Art Museum, pictures to see in every wall... The rooms are confortable, very clean, elegant. The hotel have a swinng pool, a brasserie. The breakfast is rich of every food you like but it cost 15 €.
In front of hotel there is a BUS STOP 48 , in few minutes you are in center on Amsterdam.
The staff is accomodating, thank's to everyone that help us for enjoing our holidays.
When you have done check'out you can leave the baggage in a secure hall until the evening .
Beautiful Hotel ! Ilike it !!

Room Tip: Suite 340 is very special !!

The staff were so accommodating. There were complimentary sweets and water in the room which I thought was a nice touch with a personalised message. The location was fine, a little way out of the centre but easy to get to. It was a good experience!
