Reviewed 6 June 2014

you can feel like at home in a foreign city!
The owner Walter and Peter are wonderful.
It could be very nice to find a place like this when you have to visit the world!
I've never see a place like this

We spent three nights here and the only complaint we had was that we had to leave! I can honestly say this is the best B & B we have stayed in. Peter, Woltie and of course Tommie were meticulous hosts, we wanted for nothing.
Our room The Green Suite overlooked the canal - what better place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and watch Amsterdam go by.
Breakfast's were a delight and the presentation would put any Michelin rated restaurant to shame, also the coffee and fresh mint tea were superb…..thank you.
Location fantastic - everything a short walk including public transport.
After a day touring and arriving back to Kamer01 the wine was chilled along with some tasty nibbles and Peter and Woltie were always there to ask about our day and check to see if we needed anything.
I have to mention the great service before we even arrived …. reservations were made at two excellent restaurants for us.
A place we will never forget and hope we can return sooner rather than later!

Room Tip: Make reservations ahead of time because the rooms go fast. We loved the Green Suite because of the v...

So much has been said about Kamer01 -it's hard to find new ways to express such delight about this charming B&B. The accommodation is non pareil, at the best location. Breakfast is superb, served by the warmest and most caring hosts who truly draw you in and make you feel part of their family. They are a font of information.
In summary: style, finesse, warmth.
Thank you Peter, Wolter and Tommie.

My husband and I stayed at the Kamer01 B&B for 2 nights in mid-May, 2014, before we went on a 7-night bike and barge trip. Kamer01 was a perfect place for an introduction to Amsterdam. It was a beautiful B&B, with great breakfasts and a nice walk to all of the action in Amsterdam. The location was a few minutes walk to the museums, night life and about 20 minutes to the train station.

I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a lovely, quiet stay in Amsterdam. My only caution is that the steps up to the room were quite steep, so it is far from accessible, like many places in the city.

The experience of staying in an historic canal house, thoughtfully designed for modern comfort (stylish, comfortable, 1st class suites) and outstanding service, complete w 4 course breakfast, Digital Concierge, and fabulous central location was the highlight of our trip. Wolter, Peter and Tommie (the dog) were terrific and thoughtful hosts who made us feel at home. This is one of the top 3 B&Bs I have stayed at across the globe. Don't miss out on a chance to experience Kamer01 B&B.

Room Tip: There are three beautifully designed suites, of which we stayed in two: Blue Room and Green Room. Yo...

Stayed here last month. There is one problem here, after you stay here you will judge every other B&B by this standard and they will disappoint you. We have stayed at B&B's and this is the gold standard . Stayed here 2 years ago before a river cruise . We liked it so much that we booked it again before a trip to Paris . This place is like a home away from home.
First off, it is spotlessly clean. It is operated by two guys that can't do enough for you. The breakfast is excellent, there is a refrigerator in the kitchen that is stocked with whatever you need. At night snacks and alcoholic beverages are put out. I could go on and on, the bottom line is stay here you won't be disappointed !!!!!

My daughter and I stayed at Kamer01 B&B for four nights. It was the highlight of our trip. The accommodations were both beautiful and incredibly comfortable (we stayed in the red room). Peter and Wolter were fabulous hosts, great conversationalists, and were very helpful in helping us to decide this or that for our day. Our breakfasts were one of the more memorable parts of our trip--both the food, which was delicious and beautifully presented, and the conversation with our hosts and with the other guests. They accommodated our vegetarian diet without missing a beat. The location can't be beat--the views (oh my) and there wasn't anything that we wanted to do that we couldn't walk to. Look no further!
