“WOW”

We had arranged a tour with Kimberly before we left the USA. She was waiting for us at the agreed time and we had a blast. She was delightful and gave us a great "insiders" view of the area. It is a great way to see the red light district~ especially if you are uncomfortable going there on your own.

Highly recommend!!

“Hello handsome! Randy Roy's??? Thats across Central Station, infront of the Victoria Hotel!”
Reviewed 30 April 2012

Everyone knows what goes on in Amsterdam's Red Light District and most of it is pretty sleazy... that's why we all want to go and check it out, right? Haha.

My 3 female friends and I had wandered around the area, giggled at the red light windows, had a look into some of the shops and checked out a peep show, but we wanted more... we wanted an Amsterdammers insight into the city's most infamous district... and we wanted it funny and light, not seedy and hardcore.

So we did some research online and found Randy Roy's Red Light Tours! The kitch comic strip style website got our attention and the price of only €12.50 per person seemed very reasonable, so we signed up.

We met our tour group near the train station and walked from there to the Red Light District.
Kimberley, the tour guide, had a great sense of humour and was very easy to get on with, she provided us with fascinating facts of the area including recommendations of where to visit and where to avoid... which turned out to be very sound advice!

We concluded the tour with a drink in a pub on Zeedijk called Cafe 't Mandje, which was a great way to finish up.

I would recommend this tour for all ages, 18+
Wear comfy shoes as its a 90 minute walk over a lot of cobbled pavements.
Don't forget your camera as there as some memorable sights - but don't take photos of the girls in the windows, unless you want trouble!

Thanks Randy Roy!

“Excellent value introduction to Amsterdam”
Reviewed 27 April 2012

We booked this tour for our first night in Amsterdam, and it proved a good introduction to the city. I was surprised how fast-paced it was - which was partly good, as I don't like walking slowly - but it would have been nice to have been able to window-shop the coffeeshops and sex shops a bit! The tour took us down some very tiny alleyways that we would never have found without a guide, and Kimberley was very respectful when talking about the district's workers.

We would have preferred to end the tour without visiting a pub as we were not drinking alcohol. The pub did have charm, but was very similar to a lot of our British pubs. It would have been nice to have the option of visiting a coffeeshop instead!

“Good accompanied walk through the famour Red Light District”
Reviewed 25 April 2012

We did the walking tour with Kim and it was a good opportunity to have an accompanied walk through the Red Light District. This tour is ideal for sightly older tourists (30+) and I wouldn't particularly recommend it for younger people as the ambiance of the tour was mildly humorous but not very upbeat. It was slightly factually incorrect as well but mostly informative. Focus def is on the different streets and alleys and what they offer... not an introduction to Amsterdam as a city... not recommended for children as they will see many women in windows! Great end at a local pub with a drink.
