Nice & clean hotel, very helpful and friendly staff, rooms are lovely u have everything u need. A bit of a journey into the centre u couldn't walk in. But the tram & bus service is excellent with the stop just 2 mins round the corner.

Stayed in the blue tower with five friends for two nights. From Schiphol airport it's a 10 min train, then a 10 min metro and then a 10 min walk. Or a 35-40 euro taxi. In terms of getting into town from the hotel, it's in quite a suburban area. Jump on a 15 minute tram to get to Dam Square. Or get a 20 euro taxi.

Hotel itself is quite tired but the rooms were clean, not too cramped and the beds comfy. Nice bathroom, probably recently refurbished. Free wifi in the rooms is a bonus. Only one of the three elevators was working and it was quite busy which meant we had to use the ridiculously steep stairs all weekend! Didn't sample any of the food on offer.

All in all, in theory I'd probably go back here - it's perhaps on a par with your average travelodge in the uk. But in reality, next time I'll book somewhere more central.

Checked in to the hotel. Reception was clean tidy the hospitality was brill and very polite. Checked in to room where we had 2 beds instead if a double within 5 mins we had been moved into another room. No fuss what so ever. Clean throughout and well looked after only prob was the shower. Didnt sit in holder proper so had to hold shower whilst showering. Would deff stay here again

Seen bad reviews on this hotel.. They are just not true, one person moaned about 'no mini bar' and location. It is outside Amsterdam Central but trams and buses stop right outside hotel and drop of at central station. The area is ok with shops, fast food and some cafés. Staff are friendly and helpful, if you go into a hotel with an attitude, you will usually get one back. People leave reviews complaining about staff but I usually find that these people are complaining about the stupidest things, so probably pass this bad attitude onto staff, who will not be very friendly back, and I don't blame them. The rooms are very comfy and clean and we'll decorated so what's the problem?
I have booked to go back in November for my wife's 40th and hope to go back next year. I like not staying in the centre of Amsterdam, you can have a ball, then have peace and quiet when you want to sleep. If you want a hotel more central, then book a central hotel you muppets! Don't book a hotel that is clearly out with the city centre then complain about it!!! Some folk,, jeez!

Just came back. Was attending a conference at RAI. The hotel is so far, in the middle of nowhere. Couldn't find a descent restaurant anywhere near, surroundings so dirty, had to have dinner there. Rooms & restaurant so basic. Rooms are old & so depressive. No minibar, lights in general so dim!! I could hardly see the food in the restaurant. I did not feel safe, at night the door was open & no one from the hotel is there Restaurant staff not very friendly, except Farid. Only positive thing was the grilled sole fish. I wouldn't recommend it & I don't think I'll go there again.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in late September. Excellent , well-maintained
room (corner room on 8th floor), friendly and helpful staff, and ample breakfast made for a very enjoyable stay. Frequent trams and buses (every 10 mins) from stops just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel, made getting into, and back from, central Amsterdam easy. Found Sloterdijk railway station (served by regular number 15 bus, and a 10 minute journey) the best choice for access to and from Schiphol airport, thus avoiding the chaos at Central Amsterdam station. The multicultural area in which hotel is located had it's own distinctive character and was another plus point.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. Arriving from Antwerp by train we were given incorrect directions at the metro station so contacted the hotel for assistance. The receptionist was less than helpful on the phone when we asked for directions. Basically we were on our own as it was too much trouble to spell the name of the metro stop we needed to get off at. Thank goodness our GPS kicked in eventually. Once we found the hotel, check in was slow as there seemed to be technical problems. Then we were given a room that had not been serviced. To the credit of the front desk staff, she quickly changed our room and brought the new key card to us rather than making us go back downstairs. In the end we were happy with the room (817) as it had a view across the city. The room was comfortable. Found it strange that there was no refrigerator. We had breakfast included on the second day. It was a great selection but staff was not friendly. If you do not have breakfast included I'd recommend walking across the street to Bagels & Beans. Great service and food! Not really much to do in this area especially later in the evening. Tram number 14 takes you to Rembrandt Plaza in about 15 minutes and bus number 21 goes to the Central Station in about 20 minutes. You can also take the metro which is how we made our way back to the airport (metro and train). We found this much easier and quicker than the bus option the front desk had told us to use. Overall this hotel is great value for Amsterdam. You get what you pay for usually!

Room Tip: Ask for high floor above 7th for a chance of a view. We stayed in 817 which had views to the north.
