Where to start? The first thing you notice when you arrive is that the hotel reception is a kebab shop (alarm bells start to ring). Once you have paid up front (what a mistake) and got your key, you are then confronted with stairs which are deadly but, as you enter the room you notice the curtains are odd colours and hanging off the rails, and the walls are different colours due to patch up work. However, whilst the bed linen was clean, the duvet underneath was somewhat stained and one of the towels had stains on them (looked like they had been used already). As for the shower room, this is basic but clean and the shower itself seemed to be cold water only. There is a wardrobe in the room for hanging your clothes up, and a mini fridge which was full of mould (avoid opening). To sum up - apart from the convenient location near the centre of Amerstam and only a short walk from Centraal station, there is nothing more positive to say. This hotel is as basic as it gets, and for the price there are so many other alternatives to consider!
