Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport
Ranked #128 of 373 Hotels in Amsterdam
Reviewed 9 January 2012

Recently spent a night at the Park Plaza, it was christmas eve so hotel very quiet. We had booked the park sleep and fly option. On arrival we was met at reception by very friendly staff who booked us in .It was early afternoon so we used the shuttle service to the airport, and then got the train into Amsterdam Central, by far the best way.The driver of the hotel bus was very friendly and helpfull, and was picked up at the airport later in the evening, no need to pre book.We didnt eat in the hotel so cant comment on the food, but we did enjoy a drink in the bar, again served by very friendly staff. The room was warm and clean, had all you need for a one night stop over.
The following morning the bus was on time and took us to the airport, no problems at all.Two weeks later on our return from Norway we got the shuttle bus back to hotel and told reception we was taking our car, just so they can take it from their security system. All in all had a pleasent stay and would stay again.

Stayed here for a business meeting in early December. Quite a good shuttle service from the airport - but beware on the way back you have to pre-book and it can get busy. Staff very courteous. Had a very nice meal in the restaurant with high quality food. The cheesboard was particularly memorable having the stinkiest cheese ever - but that is good - I get fed up with bland cheeseboards!
The room let the hotel down slightly - very basic with no frills. No carpet - just wood flooring. The lighting was extremely dingy making it diffcult to apply make-up as the only area to do it was on the bathroom leaning a long way over the sink. Evening reading with the bedside light on was slightly difficult. The toiletries in the bathroom were very basic and absolutely no touches of luxury. It was all very functional which is OK for a business trip but wouldn't rush back.

First of all the shuttle bus service is poor - bus is available every half a hour... Second - the bus is very small, it was a Fiat for 8 seat places... Fortunately, I was one of the first who came to the bus and I got place in the bus!
Inside the hotel is OK, clean and friendly. Do not accept rooms with 16, 18, 20 on the end - rooms are near the elevators and you will hear all talks, laugh and screams of the people coming from the elevator. Not pretty, especially when you will sleep and need some rest...
If you have early flight - this hotel is not for you, because first bus departs 05:30 and breakfast starts at 06:00... so you will be hungry. by the way, they forget to prepare my breakfast bag, so I got is last minute...
Oh, do not forget to ask on the reception bus ticket, otherwise you'll have no place in the bus.
In the restaurant - there is not much to choice for food... but food is tasty.

Room Tip: Bad rooms near the elevators... terrible for sleeping - bad sound isolation. Better ask for another...

I stayed here plainly because it was mid point between two meetings I had and seemed convenient.

Can't really fault the place, the staff are very personable, the food is good and the rooms are clean and tidy albeit very small.

The place just lacks any character but I guess it is there to serve a purpose rather than be a holiday resort.

They have a huge car park which isn't used a great deal but you have to pay to park in it even if your are a guest and even if you're a Club Carlson member. I detest paying for parking!

Would stay again but wouldn't rush back.

Room Tip: There are no good views so any room is fine, the double glazing is good so you don't hear the pl...

Nice modern hotel, but very cold atmosphere.
Functional rooms, but not enough light to work.
The only possible activity at night is to sleep.
No wifi in room, just ethernet (slow) connection.
Friendly staff.
Convenient for one night business layover, not more.

Spent one night at this hotel and would highly recommend it.
The hotel seems new, fresh, very clean and comfortable.
Front desk staff very efficient and friendly.
Restaurant served good quality, averaged price food. Buffett breakfast was very good, with amazing variety.
We asked to take a tray upstairs, as one of the members of our party was unwell, which was promptly brought to us.

This is the place to stay if you are needing a hotel near the airport.I upgrade to a suite. Two bathrooms, bath tub offie area.Nice.Great way to end my vacation.Had a early flight back to the states. The hotel runs a free shuttle to the airport.Use it to shop(cheaper groceries at the airport than down town A-dam) and to eat.Never ate at the hotel. Why when you can pick up a decent meal at the airport.Hassle free way to end a great trip, got the all you can watch deal(video games, movies tv} and caught up on my viewing.I guess i was jonesing after a week of bad hotel tv and no time left in the day for tv.Also you need a tub to soak your feet after a week on cobblestone.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a suite!
