We've eaten at a few places of this level, and Ciel Bleu has to be one of the best ever. This was their first day back from their summer break.
We had a hiccup at the start: we were left waiting half an hour between finishing our aperitif and being able to order wine to go with our meal. As a result, the staff kindly took the aperitif off the bill, and conveyed this in an appropriate manner during the meal. The entire staff were very friendly and attentive, and the sommelier was very helpful.
We had the six course tasting menu. All of it was of exceptional quality, though we didn't particularly enjoy the celery-based pudding! They also accommodated her nut allergy very well.
They presented my partner with a cake to celebrate her birthday, again with champagne, which went down exceptionally well.
