Description: The Teppan-chefs will prepare the most delicious fish, meat and vegetarian dishes on a hot iron griddle at your table: a la minute cooking with Japanese precision. The contemporary Japanese interior, inspired by the elements of stone, wood, water and fire, is an oasis of tranquillity. The teppanyaki griddles are large enough for seven to ten guests and are ideal for both business and celebratory dinners. Sazanka is open for dinner from 18:30 to 22:00 daily. Lunch can be prepared for a minimum group size of 10 people and must be booked in advance.

A tremendous piece of theatre as well as a fantastic meal. The teppan chef was so precise and skilful with his preparation and presentation, that the cooking was sure to be just perfect. The subtle recommendations of what seasonings accompanied each course were gratefully received, and nothing was placed before us unless the presentation and arrangement was exactly right. The interaction was at just the right level, the service was attentive yet discrete, and the tastes were superb. An absolute must if you are in Amsterdam.

I often stay at the Okura hotel, which is great.

Sazanka is a restaurant where you need to take the time. Many dishes come by from the plate. For everyone there are the most outstanding dishes, for everyone there's something you don't like. Having said that, this is a truly remarkable experience starting at the hotel lobby.

Great service, great food and wonderful people.

Best to enjoy when with a group, as you sit around a plate where the Japanese chef prepares all the dishes.

The restaurant has a Michelin Star, but this restaurant is not too formal. People interact around the plate; also people that do not know each other. Very 'gezellig', although not cheap.

I try to sneak in whenever I'm in Amsterdam and have the time to have dinner there, while staying at the fabulous Okura. Best with a group though.

Wasn't the best, i do generally make a complaint if food is cold or undercooked but when i do its rectified with a smile - not on this occasion. I wasn't a fan of Sazanka and i don't think i will be returning. Sorry

This is an amazing experience. It is about high quality food (both meat and fish) and extraordinary visual experience.
The restaurant is high price, 100 euro pp, but it fully deserves that.
We share our table with two couples which made our dinner even more interesting.

they served the best Angus beef which literally melt in your mouth without you putting in much effort to chew. All the dishes that we have ordered that evening are tastefully and artfully done. thumbs up to the chef who served us at the table, cant remember his name, but he is rather skinny and tall Japanese guy
