Description: Our restaurant has been a landmark in the Jordaan neighbourhood for almost 20 years, where it is known for making both local guests and tourists feel immediately welcome with its warm and friendly service. Our dishes are simple, fresh, flavourful and well priced. We offer a range of pizza and pasta dishes as well as an extensive selection of meat or fish courses, all accompanied with the perfect Italian wine. Our restaurant is always full of people drawn to its winning combination of delicious food, reasonable prices and intimate ambience, we recommend that reservations be made between Thursday and Saturday.

One of my best meals ever.
Lovely stuff and great atmosphere.
The pizza was too good.
I would recomend the Calsone.

“Lives up to reviews”

Went there on a Friday night, place was jammed and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Owner was really helpful and charming and prices are good. I would order pizza next time to be sure of freshness.

“Friendly, fab food and affordable”
Reviewed 30 May 2013

Turned up unannounced at this bustling ristorante / pizzeria up a quiet street in the Jordaan district. They got us seated within a few minutes, all really friendly and despite being crammed full ( always a good sign ) , the service was great with lots of smiles ! We actually ended up going there twice, the 1st time we had starters and pastas / pizza. Really big and tasty starters, lovely fresh and beautiful pasta choices, especially the Carbonara and Pesto. The 2nd visit we went mainly for steaks - ok but our advice would be to specify medium to well done, otherwise you will be cutting off the horns and wiping it's backside before consumption ! Also stick to the Tournedos, the standard bistecca was a bit grissly I'm afraid. Pudds are generous portion wise but pretty basic in terms of choices. Better to go for one of the great starters, a pasta / fab pizza , then round to an Albert Heinz supermarket for a bar of choc. All in all thoroughly recommended and good value for Amsterdam.

“Loved La Festa”
Reviewed 27 May 2013 via mobile

La Festa is a 'locals' kind of place, but they welcomed us as tourists as well. The owner hugged every other customer as he knew them by name. We had two great meals. I asked for Tortellini Carbonara...which was not on the menu. It was great. My wife had spaghetti Bolognese with salad and bowl of olives. Wonderful. Had a nice bottle of inexpensive wine. Just a great little Italian place in Amsterdam...and worth the walk.

“Perfect!!”
Reviewed 23 May 2013 via mobile

The food tasted great, and the staff was very nice. Also the owners sons daughter, who seemed to be two years old, kept bringing us menus, which was funny. We decided to stay for dessert too, which is rare!
