After eating at the competitor "The Pantry" the previous evening, and having a wonderful meal, I half expected that De Blauwe Hollander wouldn't live up to our expectations, but it was really a first rate experience. The service was not only prompt and friendly, but very helpful in suggesting meals and drinks, and even provided a free round of drinks when one of the dishes took a little longer than expected to prepare. The menu here is surprisingly extensive, with a few more creative dishes. The four of us ordered traditional Dutch dishes and were all very pleased. I will say that this establishment is a bit pricier than it's competitor, but the food is every bit as good, and there is more variety (though less variety in the drink menu). Expect to pay ~18 Euro per meal.
