A cosy place in the heart of Haarlem. We were attracted because it was looking really local and in fact no other tourist was there. The atmosphere was lively but not noisy and the decor simple and pleasing. The service is good and courteous but should be a little quicker. The Menu is not large but gives enough choice of soups, vegetables, fish and meat.
We had onion soup, that was great, sole: also good. The mixed meat on a spit, instead, according my italian taste, wasn't so great. I don't think that the beef cut they use is the best one to be grilled and i didn't like the peanuts sauce, but this probably it's just because I'am italian, we use to dress grilled meet only with salt pepper and extra-virgin olive oil.
Prices are really reasonable.
