All we needed was included. Each device in the house has been explained with detailed signs. The note about the free parking was very helpful. The old market square was only a few hundred meters away. The communication with the hosts was very friendly.
Loved staying at this home, everything is made by Rudy and Bea to make this house as comfortable as possible. Amenities are plentiful equipped with everything you need. The best part about it would be its location. It is steps from the supermarket and the bus system.
Had a fantastic time in this charming property, it is comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Close to all Haarlem has to offer, bespoke shops, cafes, canals, historic square and buildings. Its location is to easy to find not far from the railway station from there 10 mins to Zandpoort by the sea and a short journey to visit Amsterdam. We are a mature busy professional couple who really appreciate home comforts and a quiet get away. Charming House in Historic Haarlem gave us everything we desired. I can differently recommend it.
Very comfortable and fully equipped house. Location excellent for visiting all the Haarlem attractions, pubs and restaurants. Short hop by bus or train to Amsterdam. Owner very quick to reply to any e-mail queries. Key box entry system is a great idea.
The house is exactly as shown on the pictures. It is very easy to stay here and the instructions are excellent ,with everything (incl the wifi) worked really well. It is in a great location for getting round Haarlem which is a lovely place to stay and to use as a base to look round places in the Netherlands.
My family visited Holland for 2 weeks at the end of July. We are from the North East of England and travelled by Ferry from Newcastle. The drive from the Ferry to Haarlem was quite easy (using the sat nav) we parked in the multi story car park for a few hours while we unloaded the car, and then my husband found parking for free about 10 minutes walk away. We were happy with this as we didn't intend on using the car during our stay. Instead we used the train. We stayed here for 7 nights before moving on to Center Parcs De Kempervennen for another 7 nights. We choose this accommodation mainly because of its location in Haarlem. The size of the house suited us as a family of four. It was easy to look after and keep tidy, there was enough space on an evening for us all to be together or have time apart. Our 12 year old enjoyed having 'me time' upstairs, and our 7 year old loved the games and puzzles that were available. We cooked all our own meals, and the kitchen provided us with everything we needed. The supermarkets were great, loved the food and the variety. We have kids that can be fussy eaters, but we had no problems finding food they liked. We didn't spend much time inside during the day as we were out site seeing, but when we were there, the weather was so nice we sat outside. Having the washing machine and tumble dryer was wonderful, even though it meant less wardrobe space. This wasn't a problem for us though, we didn't need to bring as many clothes in the first place and I could wash them before we moved on to Centre Parcs. The iron was great too :)
Haarlem is a wonderful place to stay, its very similar to Amsterdam but less crowded/busy and feels cleaner and more up market. The people are very friendly and helpful. My whole family loved Charming House, the beds were comfortable and we all slept really well. Although it was very hot on a night, we had the windows open and there wasn't much noise from outside - or Mozzies.
