Owner description: Keukenhof? That’s the place to see spring blossom. The park is unique, world famous, and has been one of the most popular destinations in the Netherlands for sixty years now. Haven’t seen Keukenhof? Then you haven’t seen the Netherlands. You won’t find such an abundance of colours and fragrances anywhere else. More than seven million flowers form a glorious decor for the most beautiful photos. Come to Keukenhof and enjoy the ultimate spring feeling, the wonderful works of art, the surprising insipration gardens and the many flower shows.

Ona beautiful sunny day in spring Keukenhof is a totally stunning sight. In the expansive gardens covering some 32 hectares there are stunning vistas everywhere you look. Small copses of trees with every colour of the rainbow represented in strategically placed beds of tulips. Also dotted around the gardens are seven exhibition centres devoted to other types of flowers. The Orchid exhibition was really something to see for example.,We visited keukenhof on Easter Tuesday. We took the half day tour that left Amsterdam at 8.30 am, This was in the end a brilliant choice as by leter in the morning the crowds were very dense. We walked aroun d the gardens in a clockwise direction - .i.e. we turned left inside the front gate, while nearly everyone else turned right. This also was a brilliant choice as we were largely undisturbed as we walked around taking in the breathtaking views without the press of people. We spent over three hours walking around and this was barely enough time to see things. The view over the commercial tulip farms was quite breathtaking from the windmill at the top of the garden. The tulips were essentially at their peak.

The gardens are open from about mid March until mid to late May each year. This is a must see on a trip to Amsterdam

OK... words will never be able to describe this place... either will pictures. It is a must see even for people who do not like flowers. If you like color, this is the place to be. We could not believe the perfect weather, The crowds were not huge either. Spend the day. Take a train or taxi. The bus tours are too short for the most part. Pack your own picnic lunch and drinks.

My wife and I scheduled a long layover in Amsterdam just so we could go for the day to Keukenhof. The timing was too good to miss this, so we spent half the day there with thousands of other people absorbing the beauty of the place in late April. This would be the definition of "flower park". The trip there was made even easier because we purchased combo tickets at the airport visitors center. The bus left from the airport and took us directly to Keukenhof gardens and back to the airport in mid afternoon. Couldn't have been easier. That place has some amazing color!

My wife and I toured the beautiful Keukenhof gardens on April 19, 2014. We were very fortunate to see the tulips in their prime. Dates for the best viewing vary each year; however, mid Arpril should be satisfactory. The acres of tulips and other spring flowers carefully landscaped is a sight to behold. I also enjoyed seeing tulips in the adjacent fields being grown to harvest bulbs. Again, timing is important because farmers quickly cut off the flowers to promote healthy bulbs. Entrance free is 15 Euros for adults.

I’ve never been to a place that has so many colours. The blooms are amazing with so many different varieties. The tulips are as big as cabbages. The tulip festival we have in Canberra pales in comparison. You cannot take a bad picture in this place (unless your lens still has a cover on it). Endless fields of colours and blooms. The flowers inside the pavilion are more impressive than the ones outside.

The petting zoo is a real treat. The colourful birds and animals compete with the colourful flowers. Going inside and exploring around the windmill is a bonus. You also have to try the meat roll from Van Dobben, very yummy. A must see in Amsterdam.
