“Pretty cool”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

The Mondriaanhuis is where Mondriaan was born. They show some of his older work and his workshop in France, which is pretty cool. Upstairs there's room for the work of other artists that have a connection with Mondriaan or his work.
It's not that big, but it's a beautiful building and if you take your time and don't rush through, you'll have a nice afternoon out.

“Worth to check out”
Reviewed 27 August 2013

The location of this museum is the house were the known Dutch artist Piet Mondriaan was born (1872). It delivers a permanent exhibition about Mondriaan’s work and life and contains a life-size replica of his famous Paris studio. If you are up to the distinctive style of Piet Mondriaan, check out this interesting museum.

“It's a special place with a lazy curator.”
Reviewed 1 December 2012

The location of this museum is just fantastic. You are in Amersfoort one of my favorite cities in the world. Yet, the museum in this canal house is a bit poor in what it offers. You will ask yourself "that's it?" That is becuase it is probably kept up by volunteers without much funding. Still, they are lazy. The collection or history stays the same and this place cold offer so much more. Where is the inner story of Mondriaan, this visionary who was so many years ahead of his time?
