Whenever I need to work in a relaxed and quiet atmosphere, I like to book a few nights in this hotel. For relaxation there is the sea, the dunes, the sauna and the swimming pool (and the fitness but that's not my thing). Food is exquise - fine kitchen, but also in the bar, the food is excellent. I'd especially recommend the portwine in the bar. People are kind, everything is clean, everything is well organised. I get 1000 times more done there than in my office. Best place for flexworkingç

We have stayed in the junior suite which was very well equiped: flatscreens, great bathroom... The outside of the hotel looks old, but inside everything is very nice.
The breakfast is SUPER, the menu is ok with choices flesh-fish-vegetarian.
The people are very friendly.
The swimming pool is small, but ok for the kids.
The fitness room is wel equipped.
The location, nearby the sea is excellent.

Located within two miles of the city center of Vlissingen, 4 from Middelburg and mere feet away from a sandy beach, this hotel can look a little bit dated and overpriced. Yet, their own website had a great offer (much cheaper than hotel.com or expedia or booking.com), so don't hesitate to look around for the best price. The staff was very friendly, and spoke Dutch, German and English. The room was clean, comfortable and pretty roomy, with a Nespresso coffee machine, TV, free internet, a desk, a table, and a balcony. The hotel itself doesn't look that great (the wood outside isn't aging very well due to weather conditions I guess) and the corridor carpets and staircase/elevator might need replacing, but all the parts where you're going to spend some time (restaurant, room, bathroom) are good. The selling point for me was the vegetarian-friendly restaurant, everything looked and tasted great!
It was my first stay in Zeeland (but my 10th in the Netherlands) and the area has a lot of offer in terms of picturesque villages and long walks/rides by the sea. Definitely worth visiting.
I would definitely recommend it.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms above the hotel lobby, where people gather to smoke outside as it generates noise.

We got a good deal on this from booking.com and were then persuaded to upgrade on arrival which probably wasn't necessary. We hadn't really appreciated that this was a sort of tourist hotel where people had probably booked in for the week. We found it quite easily and it is just right beside the sea (well, with the high dunes in between). There were lovely walks along the coast. The room was fine - typical of most resort type places - with a super rain shower and and all important hair dryer. Our room had a balcony and was east facing so we had the sun in the morning which was most welcome. We ate in the hotel in the evening which was enjoyable with good service. Breakfast was huge and varied with everything to choose from. But, there were lots of guests all there at the same time and there were huge queues for basics such as teas/coffees so not such a relaxing experience. It could have been better organised. I guess it just wasn't our type of place - too big!

I spent almost a week here for a workshop. The hotel was generally really good-room was comfortable and had good amenities-TV, comfortable bed etc. The bathroom was tiny-there was no room to place anything next to the hand-basin-but this is a minor issue really. We had full board including drinks with our package. The food was generally pretty good, definitely not excellent. The vegetarian option was occasionally a bit dry at dinner. At the lunch buffet it was not clearly marked whether dishes were vegetarian or not, and it took quite a while to get someone who could tell me. The pool was great, and although I did not use the gym it looked like it had good quality equipment as well. My only real complaint was the fish-tank in the middle of the dining area-with all sorts of seas creatures crammed into it-with the poor lobsters' claws stuck together. The fish tank is cramped and incredibly cruel, and very offensive to a number of people who visit the hotel. No need to advertise such cruelty!

Stayed here for two nights on business. Hotel clean, comfortable, friendly but a little over priced and in need of a little modernisation.

Agree with previous review in elation to the less than friendly bar tender that gave more attention to music selection than guests at the bar! Restaurant food a little over priced.

Hotel certainty needs better signage / direction

Overall nice hotel with great location especially to accommodate a 1/2 night stay

Vlissingen is a nice place to visits if you happen to be around this way!
