My brother bought me a stay in the hotel for my birthday. As we had had a very good experience lsome time ago, I wondered if it would be as nice again. Yes! It was. The room was big and clean, tea facilities, quiet, even during new years night. We now the hotel is being renovated. The bathroom was indeed perhaps a bit in need of upgrading but the wonderful art everywhere and the very nice, helpfull and nice staff made us feel very welcome. They offered us a glass of bubbles because of the upcoming new year. Cheers to you all, let the new year rock!

Spent one night here last week - about 10 mins walk from train station.

Very clean - helpful staff - well located for town centre. Room was a little cold at night.

Only had breakfast here - perfectly good.

Delft was really nice - will definitley go again - many restaurants and bars - lovely town squares and churches - not cheap though!

We spent 3 nights in this hotel. It consists of several separately located buildings in the center of the old town which is nice because you don't want to rent a car in Delft. Our room was in a building on a small alley, had a window on a little courtyard and was very quiet. The room was large with a high ceiling. Breakfast was good for 14 Euro.

Room Tip: Try to go to the annex with a room on the courtyard.

Maybe I was expecting more, but I really struggle to understand the star system. Room was very old and dated, reception staff was very rude and surly, and it was a very noisy hotel (not really their fault). To be fair the room was clean and the breakfast was OK, but this place is in urgent need of modernisation, decorating and new furniture.

Room Tip: go somewhere else!

I actually thought I had booked 3 nights for Amsterdam with Aeroplan points. It turned out the booking was for 3 nights in Delft. We stayed one night in Delft and went on to Amsterdam for the remaining two nights.

Delft was a cute place to visit for a day. The hotel was very nice. We couldn't have asked for more. There was a bowl of apples on the front desk - a nice touch.

The bells on the church ring every quarter hour. I thought it would keep me awake, but I didn't wake up any more than I normally would.

The location was great. Delft is such a small town, we could be anywhere in town in minutes. We had a great breakfast in the morning.

I'd recommend this hotel anytime. Best Western in Europe is a great option. You have the benefit of a modern hotel with the ambiance of an old-world building.

We asked what the cost of the room would have been (without Aeroplan points) and were told $107 per night. We thought that was reasonable for 2 people.

Room Tip: There was no fitness or pool - I only filled that in so my review would be accepted. I'm not...

Stayed here for 2 nights while on a business trip to Delft. At the time of the trip there was some form of Music festival on in the town, so most of the street near the hotel had marques up and outside bars etc, which was really noisy. However I won't allow that to interfere With the review of the hotel as it was nothing to do with them.

The hotel is set in a picturesque are of old Delft, and from the outside looks like most of the other buildings around and about.

Inside is generally modern and clean, with a few quirky items dotted about. All of the staff I encountered were very helpful and friendly with good English.

To get to your room you have the choice of lift or stairs. The lift takes an age to travel up and down, however the stairs are very very steep and twisty so shouldn't be attempted by anyone how has mobility/balance issues.

I stayed in a room on the 3rd floor which overlooked alleyway, the room was a fair size, with a large comfy bed, the bathroom was compact (your knees are pretty much touching the radiator if you're sitting on the loo) and is on a slightly different level to the rest of the room with a 2" step to get in. Not a major problem other than when trying to have a nocturnal trip to the loo, my toes were ruined by the end of the stay.

Really nice place, but I would advise against stay here if you're elderly or have mobility issues

Room Tip: Worth discussing direct if you have mobility issues

Our stay at the hotel was spoiled by a street party/beer festival right outside the premises. The music and chatter stopped by 2330 but the traders were moving beer barrels etc by 0530 the next morning. This is not the fault of the hotel, and it was nice to have a sense of the vibrancy of the city, but made for a poor nights sleep. It was exacerbated by very hot weather so had to make the choice of leaving window open and it being noisy or closing window and being stuffy.

However, the overriding memory is the quirky hotel and fantastically friendly and helpful staff.

The rooms were quite small and dated with a compact shower room. The single bed made the room reminiscent of a teenager's attic room, but was comfortable. There was a bit of a stale smell from the drains, but that may have been the glorious weather and it soon cleared when the velux window was opened. The window had thick curtains and a blind, which gave the room a good blackout.

Breakfast was healthy, a good selection and a nice departure from the boring grease-ridden full English that we come to expect at home. We didn't have any other meals at the hotel but the bar was well stocked with a range of interesting European bottled beers which was perfect for a nightcap after we returned from exploring the city - the charming town centre is just a minute or two walk from the hotel.
