“Easter time in Delft”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

This hotel is in an excellent location - only eight minutes walk from Delft railway station and with the historic town literally on the doorstep - the Markt - the central square in the town, is within five minutes walk.

The staff speak excellent English and were polite and helpful on all occasions. Our room was an economy room and as such did not boast the views that other reviewers have indicated. However, the beds boasted memory foam mattresses, the room was clean and the small ensuite bathroom had a wet room, modern sanitary ware and plenty of towels. There were nice touches such as individual soaps, shower caps and gels and these were replenished daily when the room was cleaned. There were tea making facilities and a TV in the room although we personally did not use these. The Wi-Fi was very good even though we were located towards the rear of the hotel..

Breakfast comprised of a selection of meats, cheeses, fish and eggs along with breads, rolls, bread for toasting, pancakes, fresh fruit, cakes, fruit juice, tea and coffee. All the food items were repeatedly topped up to give a good choice for everyone.

In summary, a small hotel offering a personal touch, superbly located with an excellent breakfast.

Room Tip: If you want a view - pay a little bit more.

Just back from a 7 night stay and was really impressed. The staff and the hotel itself are charming. Room was a standard double was spacious enough for two and the shower was great! Breakfast comes with the room and it was lovely. Better than the usual stale croissant and juice some places give you. Fresh fruit salad, pate, meats and cheeses, warm hard boiled eggs, and the lovely breads and pastries each morning, along with pots of hot coffee, warm milk, and proper tea. Staff was very helpful with places of interest to visit, and it just a five minute walk to the square. Husband was there on business so it was nice to be able to see some sites on my own without fear of getting lost. We were fortunate to be able to be there for the Thursday market day, which has been running for hundreds of years we were told. A smaller market was on Saturday and it was nice just to walk around and see all the lovely flower stalls, fresh fish and produce. Very family oriented town. WiFi was great, location of the hotel is five minutes from the train station, on foot. Wish we had realized how noisy Amsterdam was, and stayed in Delft and just day tripped to Amsterdam. Miss it already.

The Leeuwenbrug is situated a couple of blocks off Delft's main square.
Super clean, fantastic breakfast, good Wi-Fi.
Being a small hotel, its service is 5 stars. At the concierge desk you are always welcome with a smile, and they are ready to answer any questions. Plenty of small details that make your stay a delight. Highly recommended for a pleasant stay in Delft, a beautiful city with so much history.

Great canal side hotel. Great room on the second floor overlooking the canal- great for people watching. Be sure and ask for a room in the building with reception- very quaint. Several dozen dishes for breakfast- cheeses, meats, pate, juices and some of the best bread I have ever eaten. Only about 10 minutes walk from the station and less than 5 to the Grand Platz and the cathedral with 376 steps up the tower(I climbed it!). Wonderful friendly staff- helpful in every way.

Room Tip: Canal side rooms have better views but noise from pedestrians may be bothersome.

This is a small canal-side hotel of great character - well maintained and spotlessly clean. Friendly and helpful staff.
Breakfast was good too, nothing hot but a good choice of cereals cheeses, meats, fruit and breads.

We have stayed in Amsterdam many times and decided before flying out of Amsterdam to stay in Delft. Good decision.
Hotel Leeuwenburg is a small boutique hotel in a great position on a canal near the centre. It was winter so the hotel was almost empty. We were given a lovely room in the front on the second floor with a small balcony. Room was a bit dated with the smallest old style TV.
Continental breakfast fairly limited but adequate.
Staff friendly and helpful with advice on local attractions as well as restaurants.
We would consider staying at the Leeuwenburg again but maybe next time look for a hotel of a higher standard.

Room Tip: Ask for a front room in the main building. Back rooms do not have a good outlook.

We were looking for an affordable place to spend the weekend close enough to the old town and found this cosy, charming "alpine-looking" little hotel in the heart of Delft. Excellent price for the attention, comfort of the bed, cleanliness of the rooms and location!
Just a couple of blocks away the prices sky-rocketed, so we were very happy to have made this wonderful discovery.
Nice large breakfast included... it was all you needed to start the day.
Staff is very friendly and polite.
Very quiet with a very cosy wooden feeling in a fairly vibrant and beautiful part of the old town.
