If you've been to antiquities museums in big cities like Berlin, London or Paris the Rijks in Leiden is fairly small. But don't be deceived because the collection is maybe richer then most of the above and because of its much smaller surroundings the exposition and the information is sharp and focussed. The egyptian section is amazing, the first floor gives a good insight in Greek life and the top floor in Roman. Where its big international brothers seem to lose them themselves in excess and only showing how many pots and shards you've got, the musuem in Leiden shows the relevant. And most in amazing condition. A must see if you're into ancient history.
