I don't recommend staying here. The staff is friendly and the location is extremely convenient, but that's about all the good I can say. The hotel occupies a portion of a large building that looks like some sort of industrial complex that has no business being in the center of Leiden. The elevators were designed by somebody who was obviously drunk (good luck getting to your room if you are on the 8th or 9th floors). The lines at reception are obnoxiously long. The pool (advertised on their website) is only available free of charge between 7 and 10 AM - after that you have to pay. The bathroom features an open shower without a sloped floor, so if you want to get clean be prepared to flood your bathroom. The physical rehabilitation center directly across from some 9th floor rooms can be rather annoying when people are constantly relearning to walk right outside of your room (canes and walkers repeatedly striking the floor are not a sound conducive to sleeping). The booklet of hotel and area information is only available in Dutch. The towels are tiny (think hand-towel sized). There is no tea or coffee service in the rooms. The room temperature stays constant at about 20.5 C regardless of what you do to the thermostat.
I won't stay here again.More
