Having had extensive experience of eating in Thailand itself, this place was a true reminder of any restaurant in Bangkok. From the moment you walk in, everything just seems Thai! No fancy lighting, no fancy chairs but still a decent place to sit, everything looks fine but not super-slick!
Anyway, to the important part: the food! You are expected to order a "rijst tafel" i.e. a selection of many dishes which sounds more like an Indonesian thing to do. However, in Thailand people often order many different dishes when going out together so in essence this practice only adds to the authentic nature of the experience.
We went for the 7 course option, with a Beer Chang, and were amazed at how much food came out of the kitchen! All of it good!!! It's not the cheapest place in town (at approx 25 euros per person) but to be fair, for the amount of choice and food that you get it does offer good value!
Would recommend this place for people looking for good Thai food and not looking for a fancy restaurant or having to impress anyone with anything other than the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff!
